they started following the comic a bit more and getting back on track hopefully it stays that way and not non sensical bull shit that they came up with on the fly to fill in episodes. they really do have enough content to really just follow the plot and not catch up to the comic anytime soon, so i don't see why they need to create random scenarios and go off script. cons: this episode seemed really weak for the starting of second season. the forest looks like your average day non threatening forest that doesn't seem deep at all, it seems like a neighborhood woods imo. also not enough zombies, they literally ran from the their camp to the church and back without running into ANY zombies? like wtf. the best they could do was put a zombie in a tent. most of them were walking as if they didn't care what they would run into, none of them were attentive as if there was a possible threat in an unknown area coming back from the church to the camp. the best they did to make it look like they cared was when dale handed shane's wife a gun.

People are no dumber in this show than they are IRL, I'm sure you've seen some crazy articles or seen some crazy videos of how stupid average people can be under random circumstances. Yeah, but all those average, stupid people should be fucking dead by now. Also, ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/idRW2.jpg) He most definitely could have seen those zombies from far, far away.

It's a zombie apocalypse, the characters and their interactions are the whole thing, their goals are individual and continually changing, there is no end goal we're working towards in this show, the story is surviving, that's all there is. If it's uninteresting it's because of a lack of worthwhile character interaction, which I don't think was the case in this episode. "Story progression" is progressing through the original story. In the first season, they made a HUGE progress with just 6 episodes, even tho they changed the [original] plot by the middle of the season. The Walking Dead is not a L4D Live Action, where all they have to do is survive. It is actually a horror-drama story where they are trying to find somewhere safe. Character progression should be a big thing too, but all they did was to repeat the "I wanna kill myself" discussion from the Season Finale and a small "Shane is a bad leader" conflict, which was something I actually liked.

 1. Man's on watch with binoculars, fails to notice a giant walker herd until it's up in everyone's face. 2. Woman knows she can't assemble a gun, drops it on the floor to lure the walker. 3. Dude searches for a hiding place in a place full of hiding places, gets his arm slashed open. 4. Little girl goes out of hiding before anyone else and lures two walkers. 5. Little girl tries to go back to camp without waiting for help. For a scared little girl, she's pretty daring... 6. Little kid walks up to a wild deer, gets shot by a hunter. Have to say I'm pretty disappointed, but I'll keep watching as I enjoyed the first season. It's just that I expected certain characters(particularly the buzz-cut lady and her girl) to grow out of their miseries.

Other than that I enjoyed it and will probably still continue to enjoy it. I read the comics and enjoy them immensely but for some reason I can still appreciate this as a television series.

I'm waiting for the short hair lady to be zombie fodder because she's annoying though. Even though the blonde didn't know how to assemble the gun, I guess it was out of desparation. The little girl made me cringe though. Stupid kids. I don't like how "smart" zombies are in this show, something I thought they'd fix for this season. If you remember from last season, a huge thing most people noticed was one of the zombies held a rock to break the department doors... I didn't like that. This episode, if you noticed, when the two guys were hiding under dead zombies, the alive zombies (wow that doesn't make much sense does it -.- ) didn't trip over them. I expected zombies to walk into each other more, or trip more, but they could seriously climb over the road divider to chase after the little girl, or even drop on the floor to grab under, and then stand back up without problems. I still love the comics more, but this is still very, very exciting to watch. And I like how they somewhat followed the story with Carl... Also, the Talking Dead poll was hilarious. I totally called it when they started. :D I don't know about you guys, but even as one giant zombie movie, this is still considerably better. I'm not sure what it is, maybe because I've read the books and can sort of see where the books are headed, I feel like the movie is trying to head in the same way, because all the conflicts from the books are still present, or I can see how the director could expand on them in later episodes. Maybe we'll see at the end of Season 2, but I guess everyone hopes it'll turn out well, or as good as it could be.

Too fat to fit under a car? 4. She never got out. She put her head out to look 5. He did tell her go back if I dont return, scared 8? year old doesnt seem super odd. 6. Bullet penetration? Its not odd at all imo. Even people with orange vests gets shot by other hunters in sweden from time to time. Can't wait for next episode super good imo.

Anyways, great episode. The tension and the intensity on the highway horde was immense. I kinda drag myself to watch through the "plead god" moment. Interested to see what will happen to cohesion of the group. Twist at the end was... damn.

Hope I didn't miss anything interesting, but it just felt like boring shit.. I kinda liked this episode though. some weird moments, but I can't understand why so many guys here are bashing on it. It was still a good episodes with a lot of tense moments. And the preview at the end seemed like it's going to be a nice season. I was kind of scared, that it might suck, because this one main producing guy left and the budget got cut down. The beginning seems quite fine to me though.

I understand Rick needing a scope at ground level, but seriously, the old man's probably the reason why people died last season. Suck at lookout much. Haters gonna hate, but I completely agree. Thought it was a great first episode except for the obvious flaws. Can't wait for the next episodes!
