Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

My point is I gave up on season 1, trying to rationalize characters decisions
Well...Honestly, at this point, zombies are not even a real treat inside the fences....There is no reason in wearing protective suit all day long. Also, don't forget that suits might slow you down when on the run since its heavy...I see your point but humans always prefer being confortable over safe (just think about the bicycle helmet that no-one wears nowadays).
Anyway, in the next episode, there might be an intesresting scene with a horde of zombies! Finally an episode where the zombies are a threat loll.
Also, i loved how they made the scene where tyreese miraculously survives alone versus a hundred zombies (in the comics, this happens inside the prison btw). It made much more sense this way! He managed to get out and run after killing maybe 20 zombies instead of killing 100 alone over 2-3 hours or something while never getting bit like in the comics!

I would say Rick was being reasonable & it's not surprising for Tyreese to act the way he did. Only weird thing was the Carol incident, but she murdered two people so I don't think it's that unreasonable for her character to lose it for a second.
There are way better examples you could of used to make your point.

No mention of Daryl pulling a Lori yet?

Look again. It looks like a big building but it's actually train cars. I'm assuming they were brought there from somewhere else and let go, and now they're all swarming.

If there are no bridges the train has to go under there is no reason they couldn't make train cars that tall just to hold as many as possible.
You can also see under the "buildings."

I bet that the train ends up being the one from TWD game

Those can't possibly be train cars, unless they make trains three stories tall now.

That's most likely the building they were going to get the meds from.

This season is awesome so far! Only part I didn't like was when Carol spilled the water. It made me all sadface.

After a few weeks I've watched every episode. I'm bored tonight so I'm going to rant about everything I can think of... The show is pretty good, not the best but despite how annoying some things are I'm into it. 4/5. Probably because it's the only zombie TV show I can think of and zombie movies are usually kind of shitty.
I don't see how the zombie apocalypse happens in the first place considering that: zombies aren't very threatening. They can't swim, run, jump, or climb(usually). Despite this, the military can't hold them off with tanks, air-force, missiles, etc. I know that there wouldn't be a show if this happened, just saying.
Nobody calls zombies "zombies". Different groups have their own dumb names for them. It's like it's an alternate universe where zombie media isn't a thing. Nobody even calls them "undead", just "the dead" on occasion.
In the first season, there is one zombie that climbs a fence and another that climbs a ladder. No other zombie ever attempts to climb anything for the entirety of the show thus far. Zombies seem to get dumber the longer the show goes on. I wish they had the foresight to make zombie behavior consistent throughout the show. Only explanation I can think of is that early on zombies were livelier and potentially had more humans to eat, therefore they had more energy to exert.
It's also hard to believe that all these people get sneaked on from behind by zombies despite the fact that zombies moan and that people should know to always be "on their toes". How did Dale not hear that zombie behind him in the middle of the night? It came out of nowhere, I can just imagine the director saying "now jump out from behind the cameraman!" Same with when Rick, Michonne, and Carl were in the car and suddenly zombies pop up in front of the windows.
Glenn gets roped down the well, nobody thinks of taking any precautions. He gets dropped (somewhat). I saw that coming a mile away.
The group's handling of that kid they picked up from town. They were more wishy-washy than Mitt Romney with deciding what to do with him.
Shane and Dale were two of the most interesting characters in the show. They die two episodes in a row.
When Merle and Daryl were supposed to fight, the crowd's behavior wasn't believable. Why does everyone feel a need to repeatedly point at them? Lol, I guess it's not that easy to orchestrate in a realistic fashion.
The Governor should've died on like 5 separate occasions. What a lucky bastard right? Merle decides to shoot up a bunch of guys before the Governor. He should've waited for stealthily for a clear shot on him instead of giving up his position. He didn't even attempt to avoid the kid in front of the Governor by aiming for his head. Come on.
The Governor was the main antagonist of the third season, yet we don't even see what happens to him? Really
Rick decides that the prison is a better place to stay than Woodbury, then people proceed to die of the flue over the course of a day. And zombies come really close to pushing over fences. Ok. Good call Rick.
I could probably go on. /end petty rant

You know where most people would be when a zombie apocalypse hit? Right, part of the zombie apocalypse as a zombie.
Here's a tip for you: learn empathy or at least figure out the meaning of it and try getting a grasp of it to enjoy the show. Tyreese and Rick brawling for no reason at all? Someone just murdered the woman that Tyreese seemed to love and burned her body. While that in itself is enough to completely make your mind go numb than you have someone telling you, that finding the murderer is second priority. Do you really believe you would be rational in that situation? Laughable at best. You are watching the show from home, no danger, no trouble whatsoever, don't look down to them acting like you would be perect in your decisions, most people aren't when there is no danger involved.
Carol is frustrated, angry and probably sad that having to kill two _humans_ for the greater good didn't achieve anything. Thats why she raged and ofcourse wasted the water with it. Was it smart? No. Was it understandable? Yes.
That doctor did cough directly in hershels face. Do you really believe his bandana would help him out in that situation? Most likely he would get it anyways so taking it off... is a rather small deal.

Acting incorrectly out of impulse hurts their chances of survival, and at this point in the show people should easily be experienced enough to realize that. It is important to suppress emotions or at least channel them in a non-destructive way. It's not a matter of me lacking empathy (no need for personal attacks btw) but of their survival. They live in a hard world where kids need to grow up fast, emotional stress is omnipresent and mistakes can mean death.
Tyreese was sad and angry, but there was no way how hitting Rick in the face could help anyone. Instead, he could have cried, cursed, screamed, stomped the floor or punched a wall if he really felt like hurting himself. Rick retaliated - that much is understandable - but then continued by kicking Tyreese when he was down, mounting him and pummeling his face until his fist was bleeding. Why the hell would he do that?
Carol, too, had any number of ways of releasing her emotions, but she chose to waste a scarce resource essential to everyone's survival. She then had at least a couple minutes to consider if going out alone armed with only a knife was a good idea. She would have died right there if Rick hadn't randomly happened to stroll by.
We don't know how the disease spreads. It may or may not spread via skin contact and it may or may not spread via airborne infection. People assume it does the latter, which is why they wear masks, but that doesn't say anything about the former. Hershel had some medical knowledge and knew this too. He wasn't under any immediate stress and was talking calmly. He didn't know whether or not the cough could infect him, but taking off his mask certainly exposed him to the risk of airborne infection. He could have used his sleeve or a rag to clean his face instead of opening another attack vector for the disease. How was Hershel supposed to help the patients if he got sick himself?

Stop expecting people to act like emotionless, logic robots 100% of the time. If you put real people in ridiculously high-stress situations over extended periods, they will snap just like Rick and Carol did.

If you take a look a second or two before that shot you'll see some kind of rather large structure to the left of and behind the train car. Still not sure if that really plays a part or just some scenery though.

I'm thinking hospital/university or some kind of large facility. No way a train carriage is 4+ storeys.
