Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

+ Show Spoiler + it does seem interesting how they're panning this out. the barn scene should've sent them on their way, but it hasn't because of the sophia shit. I think darabont stated in an interview that they wouldn't have the Governor, but to not have tyreese or michonne is kind of sad =( The prison arc is one of the best, and where we truly see rick turn full dark side before he recovers. It'll be interesting though how they plan to end this season. Unlike most posters here, I don't mind the farm arc lasting longer because realistically, you don't leave a safe haven until you have to, but I'm curious how this'll all pan out. Damn, when I read about Carl's actions have consequences, and the title of the episode was Judge, Jury, EXECUTIONER I thought it was going to finally happen, then the saw the next episode description and knew it wasn't going to happen. boo.

Copied to new page, so everyone can see... From AMCTV.com, the rest of the season: The Walking Dead 18 Miles Out Rick and Shane are in conflict over the fate of an outsider; Andrea helps Hershel's daughter face a crucial decision. The Walking Dead Judge, Jury, Executioner Rick sides with Shane causing Dale to worry that the group is losing its humanity; Carl's actions have unintended consequences. The Walking Dead Better Angels Someone dangerous may be loose near the farm; Rick, Shane, Daryl and Glenn keep the group safe. The Walking Dead Beside the Dying Fire Rick and Carl find the farm in jeopardy; the group is split up in the chaos; Rick's leadership is questioned. Pretty sure (based on these episode descriptions and some sneak peeks) that Zombies will eventually overrun the farm. But it doesn't specify in the description what the danger near the farm is, or why Rick and Carl find the farm in jeopardy. So suppose it could be that the Kid, with the impaled leg who they saved in Triggerfinger, who they let go in the next episode, somehow leads his notorious group from Philly back to the farm to stir up some trouble. What are your guy's thoughts on the rest of the season? Who, or what, do you guys think is going to cause trouble on the farm? What do you think Carl's unintended consequences for his actions will be in Judge, Jury, Executioner? In the next episode, 18 Miles Out, I've seen sneak peeks, and it seems like Rick and Shane take the Kid w/ the impaled leg to the school that Shane and Otis got supplies from earlier in the season, when they get in their "conflict". They get in a verbal conflict, that leads to a strait up brawl. Then Walkers show up to break up the fight. Rick gets left in a dumpster, hidden underneath a Walker, while Shane ditches Rick and runs back to the farm... Any thoughts guys?

Are you sure he wasn't saying they won't be going to a prison this season? Anyways whatever he said probably doesn't have too much of an impact on what is going to happen in season 3 as he is gone. Ugh, if they took out that entire arc though ... its pretty much the reason I'm sticking with this series hoping they can get to that part of the story.

I don't understand why AMC would do this for the rest of the season, its really really stupid. I didn't and don't want to read it, it just seems like huge half spoilers. I'd rather go into the episode only seeing the small preview at the end of the last. Not know every episode for the rest of the season T-T.

to me... one glaring problem with the show is that none of the characters are inherently interesting - i can't really see myself pulling for or against most of the characters. shane is really the only polarizing character in the show, but other than that you can remove andrea, dale, black guy (name escapes me), etc... and replace them with any joe blow and they won't make a difference. hell, any of the guest actors (CDC doctor, darryl's brother) left a much deeper impression than the main cast. there just isn't enough individual character focus, way too much of this errand stuff of "herp derp look for <item>, look for <person>" crap. and having the show for 7+ episodes on the farm is really not helping. what the writers could be doing is more of those flashback intros, the little snippet before the title screen rolls. we need more of that background stuff, like how shane broke the bad news to lori, how they witnessed downtown ATL get bombed, etc... and now instead focus it on different people, tell andrea's story, dale's story, etc... but comparing the show's trajectory to the graphic novel's, it's pretty clear that (book spoiler obviously) + Show Spoiler + shane is gonna die. everything written up to this point suggests it. he's going psycho, lori is whispering in rick's ear telling him to get rid of the problem, carl learns to shoot (I believe in the graphic novel carl was the one that shot shane)...

That dude's tough as nails! Sawing his own hand off, then cauterizing the wound so he wouldn't bleed out. They'll bring him back next season to stir up some drama with what's left of the group at that point. At least I hope so. ;/

At least I hope so. ;/ If he survived it probably wasn't by cauterizing the wound himself, a simple tourniquet would have sufficed long enough for him to get out of the city and then he would need to be found by someone else because he most likely would have passed out by that point before he could cauterize the wound.
