Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book.

Also, something else I just remembered. When Rick entered Atlanta, he claimed to hear a helicopter which was audible in the show and was never elaborated upon. This show is no Lost for red herrings and unexplained events but this has yet to be resolved as well

I'm pretty sure at some point they meet up with the guy and kid from season 1 again...I got that feeling as well.

Could be.

But in the commercial where it shows small clips from the new episodes of Walking Dead. One of those clips was Daryl standing over someone (I'm guessing) looking down at them and he was pointing a gun down towards the camera. He said "Sorry, brother" or "Later, brother", can't remember. Maybe someone could correct me.

The helicopter was rescuing people in season 1. The back story for it was shown in the webisodes.

Basically what they showed was a lady with her 3 kids running to get to the helicopter that was saying it was there to pick up survivors at some stand not far away from them. She gets bit by a zombie, gives her kids a gun and sends them off to the chopper.

Rescuing the guy was pretty dumb. Should have just shot him dead instead of making him suffer through a torn muscle or w/e it was and then letting him get eaten after he's "on his way"

Episode 9 was probably the best example, excessive.

You are aware this is a series about surviving a zombie apocalypse from a humans point of view right ? It's not suppose to be just people fighting zombies. That's already been done a million times over.

They should have let him suffer and scream as bait for the walkers. I suspect they rescued him only for the purpose of illustrating that Rick thinks it's wrong to leave a wounded person as bait so that we the viewers know that Rick won't approve of Shane leaving Otis as bait.

you think after andrea's comments about "presentation" that Shane would have taken her advice...to some degree. Being as he's the one whose seemingly on the way to being asked to leave or ex-communicated from the group.

From AMCTV.com, the rest of the season:

The Walking Dead
18 Miles Out
Rick and Shane are in conflict over the fate of an outsider; Andrea helps Hershel's daughter face a crucial decision.

The Walking Dead
Judge, Jury, Executioner
Rick sides with Shane causing Dale to worry that the group is losing its humanity; Carl's actions have unintended consequences.

The Walking Dead
Better Angels
Someone dangerous may be loose near the farm; Rick, Shane, Daryl and Glenn keep the group safe.

The Walking Dead
Beside the Dying Fire
Rick and Carl find the farm in jeopardy; the group is split up in the chaos; Rick's leadership is questioned.

Pretty sure (based on these episode descriptions and some sneak peeks) that Zombies will eventually overrun the farm.

But it doesn't specify in the description what the danger near the farm is, or why Rick and Carl find the farm in jeopardy.

So suppose it could be that the Kid, with the impaled leg who they saved in Triggerfinger, who they let go in the next episode, somehow leads his notorious group from Philly back to the farm to stir up some trouble.

What are your guy's thoughts on the rest of the season? Who, or what, do you guys think is going to cause trouble on the farm?

What do you think Carl's unintended consequences for his actions will be in Judge, Jury, Executioner?

In the next episode, 18 Miles Out, I've seen sneak peeks, and it seems like Rick and Shane take the Kid w/ the impaled leg to the school that Shane and Otis got supplies from earlier in the season, when they get in their "conflict".

They get in a verbal conflict, that leads to a strait up brawl. Then Walkers show up to break up the fight. Rick gets left in a dumpster, hidden underneath a Walker, while Shane ditches Rick and runs back to the farm...

Any thoughts guys?

I don't understand why AMC would do this for the rest of the season, its really really stupid. I didn't and don't want to read it, it just seems like huge half spoilers. I'd rather go into the episode only seeing the small preview at the end of the last. Not know every episode for the rest of the season T-T.

If you don't want to read it, then don't read it. Problem solved.

Well what other show does this, honestly I just don't see the point, 1 episode in advance makes sense. Not the whole season >_>

Afaik most shows out there announce the name of each episode months in advance of the episodes airing. Or at least the shows I watch do as much. The sentence or two descriptions really are pretty inconsequential and don't tell you much you don't already know (outside of them staying on the farm for the rest of the season). If you're getting worked up about it you should just realize whatever you think will happen, things probably won't go down exactly the way you imagined them, and it is still worth watching if you enjoy the show.

Well, they do spoil character deaths, by mentioning characters by name in the later episodes. I don't really care, but I could see how it could make the show less enjoyable for someone by removing any suspense.

AMC sucks at not spoiling stuff. The two big reveals for last season of Breaking Bad were posted on this board before the episode aired. Completely ruined the finale for me.

It seems we'll have the Governor on season 3:

Another English actor. I'm not really familiar with him, looks like he's done a lot of TV in the UK. Anyone got comments about the casting choice?

I'm just glad we'll have the Governor and hopefully everything that comes with him next season. Exciting stuff. Now we just need to know who is going to be cast in you-know-who's role.

and the drama is forced and excessivly drawn out. The comic has much better pacing than this show that probably got butchered for budget reasons

Yeah, the biggest news that we need to wait for will be what kind of budget AMC will allot for next season. They are planning on doing even more episodes (16), the scope will grow, and I can't imagine them keeping the same budget/cutting it again with the show doing so well. They're beginning to head back in the right direction as far as writing looks imo, now if AMC gives them the resources and they play on just a few of the themes that the comic does season 3 should be the best yet.

Will any of that happen? Remains to be seen. I'll stay optimistic though.
