Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

They are planning on doing even more episodes (16), the scope will grow, and I can't imagine them keeping the same budget/cutting it again with the show doing so well. They're beginning to head back in the right direction as far as writing looks imo, now if AMC gives them the resources and they play on just a few of the themes that the comic does season 3 should be the best yet.
Will any of that happen? Remains to be seen. I'll stay optimistic though.
I don't know if this means anything but the executive producer said that next season has some big things planned and a lot of good news in store. I watched a video linked on amc where different people part of the show talk about it.
I really enjoy this show and i tend to spend more time than i should reading as much as i can about it.

I'll put it this way. The comic was good before the governor. After the governor the comic was incredible.

Yeah, altough I doubt we'll see many of the same things that in the comic...
+ Show Spoiler +Like the bondage/torture rape by the governor, or the eventual torture/sodomy with a spoon payback lol
Those things are way, way too hardcore for TV.

Kirkman always said he wanted to show how good people could find themselves and their morals being warped by the desperation/stress incurred upon them by the environment they live in. He said he did not want to show the evil things the antagonists did though, and I doubt they will show anything in the show, they can do what they did in the comics and it will enough to leave it up to the viewer's imagination.
The torture of the governor, yeah I'd imagine they won't go as far, but I'm intrigued to see just how far they take it. That is if they keep this stuff in the show, which imo they would be stupid to take it out entirely w/o leaving some variation of it in the show.

You can already tell they're shying away from any of the little kid stuff due to how few children are in the show compared to the comics. Sophia's death was a big shocking moment in the show, but it'd barely register on the "messed up things that happen to children" scale in comparison to the comics.

that girl is below 18 and andrea is like "if she wants to kill herself she should go for it" LOL she is the dumbest character in the show by far. I can't believe I actually agreed with Lori in their little argument >_<
