Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

Kind of disappointing, but it is what it is. See, as a fan of both the graphic novels and the TV series I find the lack of zombies in the TV series kind of saddening, seeing as the graphic novel is obviously not affected by budget cuts, we get a lot more zombies. I still enjoy the TV series very much and actually quite liked the last episode. Spoiler Warning Below: I actually have a theory based on the graphic novels on what I think might happen in the coming episodes. + Show Spoiler +I think that Hershel's daughter Beth might actually die and become a zombie, thus the TV viewers finding out that people can turn without being bitten. I concluded this obviously because the TV show lacks Chris and Julie and I'm not 100% certain if the TV series will move to the Prison arc where this is originally found.
Could be. + Show Spoiler + I'm still 100% convinced the doctor whispered to Rick that they are all infected. That when the time is right, he'll go into the "we are the walking dead..." speech from the comics.

+ Show Spoiler + It seems like they're not going that route in the TV show given that there were a number of dead bodies on the highway that weren't zombies. The one that Carl gets the weapons from, for example, was just a regular decomposing corpse.

+ Show Spoiler +Oh my god. That is EXACTLY what I thought the purpose of the CDC was. I figured that he had told him that as well, seeing as he drew all their blood and he obviously knows what the disease looks like. I just figured that Beth would be the first to turn like that, and then Rick would tell everyone about what the guy from the CDC said.

+ Show Spoiler +Yea, and this knowledge could cause a final rift between him and Shane? They aren't really giving Shane any sort of clear intent to keep him on as a character. Although a lot of the tension from the comics zombies are channeled through Shane.

I fail to realize why the fuck Lori went out on her own to get Rick. She wanted to get Rick so Rick could get Herschel back to help that girl in shock? But Rick already went back to get Herschel I don't understand it. BTW fuck Lori.

This is copy and pasted from my other post, but, I think...
Lori is under some stress (to say the least). She is carrying what quite possibly is Shane's baby. She's caring for Carl (who's becoming a stronger, but more emotionless child). Rick and her relationship (which was already falling apart before the zombie virus struck) is at it's worst. She just found out from Dale that he thinks Shane (someone she grew up with, trusted, and saved her and Carl's life) killed Otis for 'zombie bait'.
Maybe she is just the 'stupidest character' (as so many people on the forum suggest) for hoping in a car and driving off. But, I think under all the stress, she isn't thinking clearly. She may be trying to prove a point to HERSELF (and maybe Daryl for calling her 'Olive Oil') that she is an independent, strong, woman that can bring her husband back without any help.

Yes that seems to make sense that her judgement is clouded by stress. Though she talked with Rick and Rick said he's going into town to get Herschel. Just as he leaves she walks and asks Daryl to get him back? He just left and he said he was going to get Herschel which is implying that he would get Herschel and come back. Though when she gets turned down by Daryl she goes off on her own to get him back, why?
I mean it just doesn't make any sense. Unless she thought that Rick was sleeping at the bar or something or leaving with Herschel forever. There was nothing more important than retrieving Herschel at the time and she drives off barely waiting for Rick to come back. I still don't understand why she drove off.
I hope they develop her character to become a stronger one and not a weak character crying for help all the time.

uk resumed the season yesterday, i will watch it later tomorrow

I really wish these seasons were a lot longer than just a handful of episodes.....I love this show.
|
Well the next episode is called "Triggerfinger." I hope that means there will be some TvZ action.
|
So your saying we have at least 5 more episodes of farm....ffs i feel like the farm was 1 issue and it was done lol. Jesus Christ just cap Shane and have Hershel die and lets move on. (idk if he dies i forgot I'm just hoping along with lori lol)

WHY DID YOU GO IN THERE???" scenes from a horror movie. :/

^ lol you're right
seems really slow.. like i've already complained about
if i knew how to write.. i'd do something like/
next ep; 200 zombies storm the farm and fighting and hiding ensues.. ep after that: they escape to nebraska where there is a secret fort of soldiers but one of them is infected and doesnt know it ep after that; infection spreads within the fort and they get split up and there are new cast members whereas a bunch of old ones died or went missing
like obviously i cant write for crap and i didnt think it through; but i mean... its exciting and still has room left for the "human conflict" questions to arise.
but just from reading my short fake episode descriptions, im already excited

well... what's the chance you flip your car over on the 1 time you stray out of camp?
it was quite pathetic, anyone that stupid actually deserves to die in a zombie apocalypse situation.
on another note - that black guy is useless. i really wish he'd have some kind of story arc or something to give him character.
i'm enjoying the second season... but i still feel like it could be far better.... why not go lost style and have 'flashback' moments to show us each character at the time of the zombie outbreak and what they did to escape and meet up etc. the flashback story is far more meaninful than using stupid 'filler' like lori's retarded turn.

If you would have told me before the season premier that the entire second season would take place at the farm I:
#1 wouldn't have believed you #2 would probably have stopped watching 3 episodes ago.
... I guess I'll watch the rest of the season riding on the recent high that was the last 15 minutes of Sunday's episode but this definitely is a major disappointment.
edit: I was so excited at the prospect of the group moving on after the last episode too. Such a buzz kill.
|
they really need to leave that damn farm
|
I was so happy thinking the group was moving on than I read the upcoming episodes and cried a little. I really hope they get this show back on track. It is turning out to be nothing but disappointment after disappointment.
