Discussing the show and past episodes is fine. Do not put things that have happened in the TV series in spoilers. However, don't spoil things from the books that may happen in future episodes. Put book spoilers in spoiler tags with a CLEAR WARNING that it is from the book. |

If they can pull that scene off well though, I have some hope. Problem is everything else is still really bad.
He performed really well in season 1 of Trueblood too, definitely a better actor than most on this show.

Sure, there are going to be the same stuff from the original source, but there WILL be different shit. Enjoy it for what it is, if you are expecting to much because you read the book/comic book, then just stop. Sit back, and just watch. People are WAY to critical of Walking Dead. But, a few bad apples is not enough apparently to stop the show because it will have a third season.
I just hate people like this. Expect way to much and hate on something because its not the same. Most people here aren't even mentioning the source material, except maybe in passing. The material we see during like 80% of the screen time of each episode is pretty poorly done, just from an objective standpoint. Even without comparing it to the source material it just isn't magnificent. It's had some good moments though. Everyone who is criticizing is watching right along with you. Whether they want to call themselves a fan or not really doesn't matter. And there's no reason to discourage their opinions any more than yours.

Stop watching then. Why would you keep watching a show you obviously don't like. Majority of people just stop watching a show after they begin to hate it. You just seem to be torturing yourself over and over just by your comments. Its simple. Stop watching.

I honestly would have been ok with the random strangers killing rick. The shark guy seemed 100X more interesting than rick has been the entire show.

Like there is so much wasted time, bullshit scenes. First off Lori had no business going out that whole thing is bogus and manufactured drama that just feels fake, it doesn't draw you in you just want to spit it right back out.
And there are other things like the arm falling off the truck, they waste like 20 seconds of air time picking up a fucking arm. The way they did it you thought it was gonna be like some b-horror flick where the thing just grabbed Andrea and she starts streaming and shooting it. Lots of poor decisions but there are definitely moments worth watching and remember out there, and that's why I'm still watching.

I haven't said I didn't like it. I'm still watching it. I watch maybe 2 dramas every season, I take maybe 2 hours of every week to watch television and this is one of those hours. So I enjoy it to a certain point, but I'm not going to stop being critical of it. I'm not torturing myself at all I know exactly what I enjoyed and exactly what I hated. You're the one who can't stand that someone else is pointing out flaws.

It felt like a character build up episode to me. Daryl foreshadowing Shane to kill again. Andrea picking up severed arms like it's nothing. Glad Rick is finally become the bad ass who will do whatever he thinks is necessary to survive.

I will admit there are SOME stupid scenes in the show. But thats not really enough to take away from the show. They have to waste time in some way. And they have to make drama like Lori car rolling over and stuff. They are catering to the masses. Its what shows do. But, when it comes down to some of the poor time wasters in the show like that arm falling off the truck, they just weren't thinking.

hey man if you think its stupid dont watch it.

Ending was sick! Rick is a BAMF, and the preview for next week looks action packed

Lori's decision to go to the bar just didn't make any sense. Not to mention she didn't even know where the damn place was (herp derp lemme stare at this here purty map while I'm driving).
But damn that bar scene...can't wait for the next episode to see how the situation escalates further. Those 2 guys said they had people of their own they were looking after. Rick is one damn QUICK mother****er.

I felt like the arm scene showed the loss of humanity of the survivors are going through. The same way Carl says he'd shoot Sophia if he had the chance.

i've been ok with most of the stuff they've done in deviating from the comic but that "lori goes out to save the day then gets in an accident" was100% facepalm and completely unnecessary for the show. and now they're going to waste 4 episodes covering the fallout. sigh.

There are some flaws. But most of the flaws coming from you, as I read throughout this thread during the first half of Season 2, I just don't see most of the flaws that you are pointing out to be a problem. The show wouldn't be doing so great if it was.
I'm not trying to sound like a douche, but its just that the way text is.

Well no one here needs told "dont watch it if you dont like it"
Your assuming we are mentally incapable of making critical decisions on our own and your also assuming that EVERYONE has the same OPINION as you. you should probably stop that.
