Definitely not many obese people in Romania, that's for sure.
Also, I thought I understood English pretty well, even the thickest Irish accent or quickly speaking Londoners aren't problematic, if I listen carefully.
HBB's mom, however, is utterly uninteligible to me. Her talking sounds like gurgling and squealing, far from English or indeed any human language...

I don't know if its because most of the stuff I watch is american but I understood her just fine /shrug. Makes me a little sad .
This satire was a complete miss. The purpose of the show already was to make fun of the fat girl and her family, not to glorify them. The James Cameron crap was stupid too.

I don't notice it as much, mainly because I live in a fairly fashionable city in the south, but when I go out of town every now and then I might see a few.

Yep, the clip linked in this thread gave me chills. I always thought German TV was embarrassing for the most part (and haven't watched TV regularly for years). This... this however... Good lord this really does set the bar low.
And from all the studies etc. it really does appear like obesity is becoming an unfathomable huge problem for everyone, especially in the USA.

Ya I was disgusted after watching 1 episode too, but hey, they're laughing all the way to the bank making something like $20,000 an episode this season.

eh? just how the fuck is it even possible to glorify those things?
James Cameron was the perfect choice to go raise the bar. Since he made Aliens and Terminator he has sunken to depths unimaginable. Because his movies still do well on the box office, it also shows the rapture of the people.
