I wouldn't say that it's "uncommon," just not in the limelight. Full artist albums usually have tracks like this, and you can find some good dubs in that category as well. The top producers that made those tracks back in that era probably don't make them any more, so it makes it harder to find, but it's out there. I usually rely on Spotify to send me a track from 2010-2015 that sounds like it's from then, check out Jacob Henry, that seems to fit the bill.
I know there are tracks like that still produced but it is much harder to find them since there are few compared to other types of trance/house. I mean the scene exploded, and progressive trance lost popularity so it now just a small portion of the overall scene. And, unfortunately, I don't have time any more to plow through all the scene releases (as I used to when I was in college). I guess I am old enough that life has caught up with me leaving little time for pleasures. I still listen to di.fm on my way to work but have not time to follow up with searching for the tracks/sets played...
Thanks for the recommendation. I will check it out.
Very meh. Especially considering you previously posted one of my all time favorites. How did you just discover zara!? Lol.
Sander van doorn is coming to chicago on the same night as JoC & Kearney. Obviously sander's set will comparatively be garbage but man going through some of his 2009 stuff makes me really miss his old sound
Markus dropped this monster of a track at dream state...i absolutely lost my mind + Show Spoiler [Bastilon] +
Arty is great, first live concert I ever went to. Probably put it as the third best performance I've been to after A&B and Kaskade. Caught Oliver Heldens right before he sold out (RIP)... that was pretty great too.
I really like 'Love is Darkness' by Sander. The beat just gets me.

Had to convince all my friends to go to arty at EDC chicago in 2013, they were all glad I did Caught an awesome club set from him in 2013 as well, he's gone a bit downhill since then. Still puts out some really solid remixes. Some of his old stuff was abslutely amazing though, especially that alpha 9 <3

Arty really peaked in the 2009-2010 time range. I remember how good his ASOT 550 set was or maybe it was ASOT 500. I remember he was the actual closing dj for the first time I saw Eric Prdyz and he completely killed the vibe.
So how do we feel about Husman? I find myself really liking most of the melodies he puts in his tracks, but sometimes the rest of the tracks feel a little overproduced (lots of little random samples throughout).
