I am amazed how much I feel the 10 people buyback lategame teamfight stuff that dota results in needs to be fixed in some way.

I liked it a lot before, but I do think limiting them on a team basis would help.

There is a bit too much gold in dota right now. I think it was initially to fix pubs so people would willingly play support.

I mean it looks a lot more fun to play. Same with the balancing mechanic. I like that we aren't seeing TI4 where people get strangled out fast because it snowballs so devestatingly but laning and early game advantages feel so much weaker than they were.

edit: The gold is why creeps dont feel scary.

the correct play was to run in all your heroes with stampede and hope to kill somebody who didnt have bb for the win

Yep that was such a big misjudge. They were about to win.

But at least i hope megas gets buffed. It is kinda worthless at this point unless you get the rax like sub 10 minutes

I think that's more a consequence of the meta disfavoring single-target heroes in all roles. Every relevant pick has AoE or heal in some form.

Idk i have seen a game this TI with drow/enchantress/maiden and a bunch of single target heroes practically just making megacreeps worthless.

...those are all heroes that can deal with megas. If Bane and Clinkz were en vogue, we wouldn't be complaining.

All about Stuns & Damage amp. LGD was able to run to this far by knowing how to be tankier than anyone else. But, the DPS, currently, eventually overtakes.

Also, Rubick is 2-0 so far in this match.

Were you quoting someone else? ^_^

I think it's a power creep issue. It's way more manageable dealing with supers and megas given how universally strong heroes are now with talents and some of the attribute changes icefrog has made.

Isn't Rubick the highest winrate hero in the playoffs? Above 70% iirc

He is the hero with highest amount of picks across high winrate heroes, every hero with higher winrate has significantly less picks.

It is ? That actually makes sense if it true. Rubick is more like a targetted counterpick than anything else. You don't actually pick it for the sake of picking it.

A lot of that is on spell amp i think, even mediocre wave clear is so much more effective nowadays than it used to be. If a support can kill a wave with 2 nukes instead 3 there is much less time invested.

considering how easy heroes push back lanes, stronger upgraded creeps is compulsory
and might as well throw some interesting attributes instead of bigger hp and damage

it still just speaks to how heroes in general are stronger now with spell amp and stuff.

also i don't mind rubick being good, he's a cool hero

With this meta where every lineup has at least 3 stuns, Rubick is extremely valuable. Also, this late into TI and you've got most of the best Rubick players in the game able to use the hero. That's what ends up making him seem so potent. Because he just turns fights so hard.

It won't be a disaster i think. Heroes are ridiculously strong nowadays and they get maxed really fast.

The real thing that is out of whack imho are gold and xp formulas, especially xp. Seeing all 10 heroes being 20+ level 50 minutes in is something that was seriously rare, ain't it?

I'd like to see the pace of a Dota game slowed down a notch. Doesn't feel right seeing everyone with this much farm and levels.

Around TI8, there had been like 150 total Pro Games to ever have 10x lvl 25s. It seems pretty common these days.
