I genuinely believe Liquid weren't up to date about just how much BS destroys Alch, or thought that instances of it in pubs/worse teams were play rather than matchup

Also, the way LGD pressured Alch reminds me of what EG did to LGD's Alch during groups. EG in hindsight feels like the other team this tournament that's playing super crisp

LGD played better than I expected. Liquid had looked immortal after day 1 in group stage. Their lane setup really worked out both games. When Tiny got forced out of lane he just started being a roamer, dual roamer with strong lanes crushed TL jungle and bot/mid lanes.

Look at how times have changed. Used to be eastern teams filling up the top 8 with 1-2 lone western hopes. Now is LGD against the world (literally). WP LGD. Game 2 was won by fy (roam) and xnova (wards), with maybe cleaning up and the other 2 as backups.

That Liquid draft was way to risky, but maybe they are some facts after this:
Ench is worst than Io+Gyro.
Alch can be countered hard with a Blood.
Pick lich to lose.
If you lose lanes even Liquid can't come back. Expect future draft to be even more lane focused with as much teamfight as you can afford without losing lanes.
