also, worth pointing out that lgd actually made the call to directly throne it. if they tried to go for rax it wasn't gg and vp was in a better position still. so many situations in games where teams could throne it but they get cold feet

I think it was a poor draft by VP, and only reason it looked so good was cuz of lgd feeds. I think it was a fine draft that looked worse than it should've been because VP miscalculated how the lanes would go. They wanted to go even at the beginning and force tower trades before Storm got to his 4th-5th item. If anything, Pasha was underwhelming in his control of the side lanes.

That was so bad to play as drow lineup and a storm

The real question is LGD going to tilt in game 2 because of game 1

No one thinks "wow this hero would be perfect now, but I won't pick it, I'll keep it hidden in case in the main event the same perfect situation arise §" I wholeheartedly agree. Some proactive strategies might be 'hidden', like first picking drow thou.

I think even if 9pasha gets the black hole, fy was in range to get an instant swap, and the fight probably winds up going similarly The main issue was lack of buybacks I guess

So what's exactly your point? they definitely played overconfident at the start, but they adapted on the fly, itemized perfectly, and outplayed VP to win with a lineup that plays like shit from behind. not the greatest game in the world but being able to find the win despite mistakes is the mark of champions.

This is real life not. Tropes that work on fiction doesn't necessarily mean it happens IRL

That team becomes a monster when they find their groove but so far they never really did at this TI and look highly mortal.

He has to preserve the threat of it to force Maybe to hover on the fringes of the fight. Shiva's might've been preferable over Sheep in that scenario for Ramzes too.
