Valve only assigns casters to cover the games in dotatv. They dont care/have any input on the streams.

Do you seriously want to watch the outworldly trainwreck that would be 4 simultaneous 10-team lans?

There is nothing wrong with the qualifiers lol
The English coverage is bad, that's it.
Even v1llat said he wanted to be part of the English hub, where they just have fun and play mafia while the Russian hub is working their asses of to cast all the games

BTS don't even have 2 streams for the Europe regional when it's the only qualifier running... how do you expect them to stream SEA, China & Europe at the same time? dota2ruhub are streaming every single match, so it's not like it's impossible to do

About LAN qualifiers: this first stage wouldn't work because of visa issues, the qualifiers would have to be at least a month after the open qualifier.
But I would like to see something after this like the csgo qualifiers: get 4 teams from each qualifier and make a 16 team lan fighting for 8 spots. The tournament would be awesome and would end with the "this region have too much spots" thing

do you really thing they're not getting paid? also I'm pretty sure I read multiple time about valve assigning casters to cover qualifier

i didnt expect F5 to sucked this much

Yeah this format is flawed. The eliminated teams most likely won't try as hard and whoever play them will benefit from that.

VP's looking good and disciplined nowadays. Two young core players with very high individual skill and some reliable and occasionally flashy support from Solo, Lil and Pasha. First CIS team in a while that seems like they could last a bit in a tournament.

Every format has it flaws.

I like Swiss format to solve that problem, only problem with it is that it is hard to promote certain match ups since it is unknown what will happen after the initial game.

geez I feel bad for Fantastic Fail they had to be the tie breaker between Secret and Liquid while they're already out of the competition
