I would assume they find the IP(s) of the venue and just bombard that. Or find the IP of the server the game is being played on and target that. The latter method used to be most popular, not sure if they closed that hole fully.

I see, thanks

The stream being down could mean it's the venue that is being DDOSed

Draft between Tongfu and VG.Reborn just started on esl_joindotablue for ESL Manila.

They might be on different connections even if both are at the venue. Don't think they are though.

Well, i there weren't doubts about that even before this LAN I wonder how many SEA teams we will have at Manila. I can see Fnatic and MVP both getting invites. I think First Departure and Taring are likely to come out of the qualifiers then. Taring is doubtful. 343 just left for fnatic and the rest are still on "break". How is Yamateh doing?

I think First Departure and Taring are likely to come out of the qualifiers then. Previous invites have been Top 6 from previous + 2 Tournament Winners between. This is probably the first Major invite set that the top 4 are the only assured invites. So that's Team Secret, Team Liquid, EG and MVP.P. OG should eat up an invite because they won Frankfurt. I think the other 3 invites are simply up for grabs for who does well at the tournaments between. Expect at least 1 Chinese Invite, as there is a Chinese LAN here soonish. Plus we have ESL Manila.
Do you think Fnatic makes a direct invite?

Whoever wins this Bo3 is going to be in a rough place, going into the match against MVP.P. You're not going to have much prep time.

Now I don't know if I should go out and buy food or just sit and wait.

I guess I'll give it a Shangai treatment... I'll simply stop watching it and do something productive instead.
Edit: How is e-sport to flourish if such things keep happening over and over again? It's bad for the audience since the hype dies down (and I won't even mention all the delays making you stay up for that way longer than you'd like to), it's bad for the casters since they lose track and flow, it's bad for the players since it breaks their concentration.
I guess that there can't be any e-sports until such stuff is sorted out.
Edit2: Seriously, if I'd be one of the sponsors for a big e-sports event like that I'd put a clause in the contract that if such things happen then they have to give me back my investment with interest due to loss of face and credibility.

If not less.

Did the casters make a big point about QO switching to safe lane? I think it was overdue.
