As in if it was as popular as LoL, including kespa teams and whatnot? Yes absolutely

In LoL the Western teams didn't have 7-8 years of playing experience.

Sure, but in sc2 arguably the experience wasn't that far before Kespa entered the scene (it was mainly ex bw b-teamers vs former bw/wc3 western players), and look at what happened within one year.

The years don't matter that much.

Korea was behind by 7 years in CS 1.6, had no servers, had no practice partners, had to play on 400 ping and still got a Championship contender team together.

I don't think they'd dominate the scene (it's too hard to say), but I'm certain they'd get a Championship contending team or 2 for sure.

Which confirms what I say. You are comparing apples and pears.

I really like the attitude coL has about regional dota and just their attitude towards the game overall. They seem to be a team that is willing to go above and beyond the level of conventional preparation to find success.

Years matter a whole lot. As you can see most of the successful teams in DotA 2 is behind experienced leaders. Of course you can learn a lot to analyse others, and this is one of the things Korea does great, and have a competitive team. You can only do so many short-cuts to experience, before you hit a wall. Dominating the scene is just ludicrous.

What happened to the Korean server anyways? I was hearing news about it when NEXON was still in dota.
EDIT:

MVP hasn't slowed their growth yet, we'll see when that "wall" hits. The miracles Korea has produced I wouldn't hold my breath.

Sure but assuming they have the same isolation factor as the other games they ruled where the competition in korea is different from the world and they lack little exchanged with the teams outside of korea.

If that's not the case then i think it's not happening but they'll have the same chances as everybody else
