still wondering why ET in this game. Sounds cool to increase gyro's damage, but what else?

Sometimes it sticks, but it's usually ludicrous. It's usually spot on. Saying Virtus Pro and Empire would be 3rd/4th isn't that ridiculous, and saying Secret would win is what most of the community did. The only ludicrous call I made during the international was that MVP would be 3rd. I did enjoy what happened after though - ie all the people telling me that, after Secret got eliminated and PPD's team dropped to lower, the Chinese were going to take it, and that I best be prepared to disappear. We all know what happened. And yes, calling for the West to win these days is not a big achievement. Which is why I said in the beginning that I'd love for it to be competitive again. Rather than a "broken clock" analogy, the current state of Dota is one where anyone could get it right just by saying the West's gonna win. That makes it boring. Saying "one of the two teams that make every finals will win TI5" is an obvious guess, and getting that right does not make you smart. Getting everything else wrong and still pretending you're smart is hilarious. You hedged your bets across like 6 teams and got 1 right. Also, many (most) people still thought EG would take the finals, especially when you separate out the people making predictions with the ones who are just cheering their favourite teams. Betting odds were in favour of EG, and the fact that they won was not shocking to anyone. Ah yes, ignore the big calls, and focus only on such trivial errors as who the 3rd place team is going to be. I'll be fair - by the time of the international, it was easy already to see that the West was going to win, and the only people who thought otherwise operated on the mistaken belief that the Chinese were just sand bagging the whole way. But the "smart" call was the one I made earlier in the year, after DAC, where I said that there is no way the Chinese had a team that matches up to PPD's and Puppey's in raw talent. And the "smarter" call, in case you will, is the one I made AFTER the international, where I said that all jokes about 8 0 0 0 MMR aside, it's the Western new talent that's going to pull the West ahead this season. But yes, keep talking about how I made a mistake about the Russians and Koreans. Also forgetting your big call of no Chinese in the Top 4. I said there *could* be no Chinese in the top 4, not that there's going to be. Notice that majority of your calls have some form of hedging? Clearly only calls when they're right. Can't be a broken clock if you only tell time twice a day.
Yeah, that's why I said I was wrong about the Russians and the Koreans during the international? Because I only admit calls when I'm right?
You want to know what a call is? Here's an example:

This was what I said as Secret was playing LGD during Frankfurt.
A call is not: "I think this is the first year Western teams could take all top 3 guys."

VP's lineup will naturally get AC/vlads too

I wish Secret was in this tournament just so we could have EE arguing about One Punch Man with Kotlguy.

I see hedging here.

On another note: Kinda sad that Blitz is (kinda) bound to JD at this point. He would fit perfectly in this casting-couch style i think

Yeah, there is, but it's a minor one, as I'm locked into the call as soon as Secret wins, and no this wasn't the game that decided the finals.

There was no play for VP after taking down Gyro's Aegis. Why the heck did they stay there.

Also holy shit, first game in ages where Mind_Control has decent farm.

For me the more important question is why did they swap in dazzle? dazzle was so comfortable he couldve just graved and mayybe swapped afterwards? the beginning of the fight was messy to begin with but it was clear that Liquid are able to catch up to the venge

Amusing how KotLguy is reduced to making random background noises when a full casting crew is there.
