Sometimes, even in 'important' games, you experiment.

no, in important games you don't ever experiment that is not how competition works. i mean, sure it its possible for things to work out, but doing something you've not practiced is not wise.

How often in scrims do you think every team 'try hards'? Not much, right?

Best way to try different stuff sometimes is in matches. Spontaneity can be a blessing and/or a curse - it looks great when it succeeds but horrible when it fails.

They could participate in minor tournaments in NA. They could play more in EU, than they do.

It fails because those they face opposition, that have played against these things many times before, while EG haven't dealt with the weaknesses nor strengths of strategies and heroes.

That's true why can't they practice on official matches. So many pros already said that official matches are the best practice cause most of the time nobody even tries their hardest on scrims

I remember zai said he spaces out in scrims and ends up feeding endlessly.

Teams like EG make the most out of tournaments. They don't play tournaments without most of the best teams. It's like c9 with envy never playing a tournament without the top chinese or top western team

Minor tournaments that maybe teams of a similar caliber are not playing?

Could play more in EU? Maybe some of the members have other commitments, don't want to/can't play more for whatever reason. Maybe Fear wants to keep his wrist a bit safer. Who the fuck knows - apart from the team themselves.

You seem to know a lot about the team, more than anyone else. Charlie Yang in disguise?

yeah the 0-15 reference lol

It's even hard to believe cause zai is so fucking consistent in pro matches. I guess when stakes are there he can perform if not he just doesn't care enough.
