I mean props to Fly for the drafts but i haven't seen as many straight up game over at draft phase as I have this patch.

Must be worse than I thought if people are proud of them beating washed up pubstars.

When you get Top4 at a major we will talk again.

Seriously guys, results are results. I cant stay EG but never would I tell they are shit just because they dropped early from 1 or 2 tournaments in the past.
And top4 is a solid result for OG already.
This "1st or go fuck yourself you are shit" mentality in esports is just something else.

I think CDEC had a fine draft other than the part where they forgot about this whole right-click thing.

The only tier 1 team they've beaten is EG in group stage at MLG. They can prove it by beating a real top team in an elimination match this tournament but beating CDEC with Meepo does not make them top tier.

Also winning with tiny wisp and alche is cheating right? Rooofl...

Are OG are good as Secret or EG? No?

Then there's a tier above them. They aren't top tier. They'll have to at least reach a finals first.

Point taken again Im really impressed by everyone from that team go OG!

What is different about this tournament for the top Chinese teams is how all over the place their performances have been.

Newbee finishing bottom 15th-16th.

LGD and CDEC finishing 6th-8th.

VG and Ehome finishing 3rd-5th.

In previous tournaments, the Chinese teams usually grouped together in terms of their performances. This is the first time they've been this spread out.

It speaks of fundamental issues with each teams' level of preparation, and the way the reshuffle went.

but they beat CDEC and VP so they are like top 5 in the world and like top 3 in EU at least . That's still pretty fucking good

prolly i'm not sure

i mean shit if vg win it all our tones will all change. still a bad showing from china overall, and yeah VG are underdogs, but they could still win.

We have the best teams playing here and they are top 4. If thats not top tier i dont know what is.

1. They have yet to beat a tier 1 team in form.
2. Getting 4th has to be seen in context. They probably don't make anywhere near top 4 if they land on the wrong half of the bracket (ie facing Ehome or Vega who they lost 2-4 this tournament)

Teams with players that can run meepo have a huge drafting advantage, because meepo is a pick that is meant to out draft. I do hope more players start learning the hero.

Cdec is kinda still stuck in the previous patch. I think they really need to work on expanding their hero pool and play style, because they have been very very predictable.

PPD has yet to show his team knows how to play Meepo, so by this argument, they ought to lose, yes?

Newbee finishing 13th-16th isn't really different or surprising
they placed 13th-16th at both TI5 and DAC as well

It is worth noting that the more cheese heroes you can play, the better off you are in draft phase. Doesn't hurt to have a meepo player.

they really should take some time to fiend the pubs like mad and learn the patch better

the talent and teamwork is obviously there

Yeah but back then they were playing RPGs. From what I hear, they actually tried this time, and in fact, they were doing okay in Chinese tournaments.

cdec is quickly turning into the alliance of china. roll through ti with ur lina gyro/pl then fail miserably when people figure you out and you have to adapt.

I mean if China gets first they'll have done better than the West at TI5, but what'll probably end up happening is VG will beat Ehome because they always beat Ehome and then they'll lose instantly after because they fucking suck.
On a purely personal note, I'd like to show Yellow the beauty of infinitely repeating Starcraft 2 bunkers. -Boxer

? Way to total misread what I said.

All I'm saying is being able to run meepo gives you a huge advantage in draft. An additional option to win via out draft.
