123 wins first game against fnatic after questionable plays and buybacks from Mushi.

man Fnatic just need to permanently move mushi to the safe lane and put black mid. It's not even that Mushi can't do well mid he just seems to tilt if he ever dies.

I'm pretty sure Europe is the strongest region atm. I probably haven't watched enough post TI Chinese Dota to make a proper conclusion about it, but these Euro qualifiers are just brutal.

It's hard to tell because it feels like Chinese tournaments don't exist except as qualifiers for big international lans currently.

Well I guess ECL actually started a few days ago but I can't actually watch tournaments on Chinese time so

It's actually very easy to tell as China has won a grand total of 1/9 premier international tournaments in 2015 attended by top Western teams, and none in the last six months, for a win rate of 11%. The idea that a region with 11% tournament win rate is capable of being called the best region is, of course, absolutely ridiculous.

The scene as it stands has mainly been about Puppey vs. PPD vs. top CIS team, whichever team that is.

The best Chinese team still usually ties or outplaces one of those teams at any given tournament and ends up being the 3rd best team at the event. Usually the CIS team.

I'd agree if you just said it was Puppey vs. PPD, but a Chinese team is still usually one of the 3 most relevant teams at any given event, moreso than the non-Puppey, non-PPD team.

That's difficult to say when CIS teams have won two of those nine premier tournaments - a larger amount than China, and they also win a lot of West only tournaments.

What I was actually talking about is just tournament wins; obviously the Chinese teams are still capable of taking 2nd/3rd place at a lot of tournaments but not first. But you know what Arteezy says:

The issue with comparing those CIS teams and other teams is that before TI there never was an event with EG, Secret, Empire and the best of China. Empire didn't qualify to most of the actual premier competitions, the events they won had one other contender like EG or VG in them and others were missing. Imo their most relevant tournament performance was their 2nd place at MarsTV, at least in terms of the tournament field goes. The same thing really with "west only" events, Empire and VP both won significant events this year in SL11 and Dreamleague but neither of those had EG, Secret or c9 in them. c9 always qualified to the top events but they couldn't really establish themselves as actually better than Chinese teams, they more often than not lost to VG for example. So in that way in the top competitions generally the most relevant teams were Secret, EG and a Chinese team.

After TI it's a bit hard to say due to CDEC being the only team from China to play 2 international events and iG coming to ESL with a standin.

so only winner counts...nothing beyond that.just another argument created by western guys to show how great the region is..just look at winner guys..NA team won it..but we should ignore that 2nd 3rd and 4th or even 5th team is a chinese one..we will declare west is best basing on just the winner.

lemme add one more point to this then..people call TI as an ultimate measure for which region to be the best and china already won 3 out of last 5 TI while 1 eu and 1 NA ...i don''t think this says otherwise.

people saying the scene is puppey vs ppd based on 2 tourneys after TI? puppey's team placed 8th at TI which was extremely irrelevant place according to that rtz tweet then

good games by fnatic tho...nice plays by mushi salvaging himself..and as someone said he is looking rather solid when he is not on mid..this pretty much proves the point that winning mid while captaining the team and deciding direction for the team must be hard as fuck for him

I don't trust that the switch will work out. It looks great when you put Black on a hero he excels with (Invoker), but I haven't seen evidence that he can replicate that on space-creators like QoP, Lina, etc.

why did Lu(0) go for diffusal on broodmother

literally anything would be better than a diffusal:

basher for man fighting

necro book for ratting

but a freaking diffusal??? to purge off what? Newbee had no omni

seriously Lu(0) is so underwhelming IG should have kicked him a long time ago.

FYI - If diffu doesn't make sense I'd say it is against hex (only looking at the draft and the game length I'd say darkseer had blink hex)

5 minutes to go! VG haven't really had the chance to show what they're capable of this patch, here's hoping they show up tonight.

(and at the same time, I want Sylar and RotK to do well as well *torn*)
