sure is turning out well As though they had any other pick that weren't guaranteed to lose them this game as well. axe, clock, put lina in a core mid role and pick a better support for this game lots of options None of those would deal with Virtus Pro late game. They have ember/lina for late game, they just needed something to draw focus away from them.
Its not like they would win late game against PL, clearly the plan was to win lanes with Und and Tusk which clearly didnt happen, they werent looking to getting to late game.

If you take the long view, they weren't even expected to take 2nd place at the American qualifier, so yes, a lot higher.

In which case they were better off throwing a curveball. They have undying, thinking about lategame is mistake already.

Yes, but you know, people don't see this. They think they picked an undying for no cause, instead of looking at why the picks ended up the way it did.

VP won, but they sold their souls for this victory. Was it worth it? CAN YOU EVEN CALL YOURSELF CIS NOW?

there's obviously a big difference between 13th, 9th, and 7th in terms of prize money but it's a bit variable just based on the matchup you get.
Like C9 played bad anyway but maybe they squeak into top 8 by getting to play MVP or something.
IG might have been fine but suddenly angry secret team facing them in loser's.
Col played better this TI than C9 anyway. just saying that comparing close relative placements in a double elim bracket beyond the top 3-4 are usually more meaningless than not.
