Really surprised Empire didnt take out MVP, how was the games?

BTW, Can anyone explain/understand the thinking behind sf/am first pick phase by Secret?

I don't think there's more to it than picking sf because they rate the hero highly and second-picking am because he's good vs gyro and ds.
On a purely personal note, I'd like to show Yellow the beauty of infinitely repeating Starcraft 2 bunkers. -Boxer

They way overrate SF, should just trust RTZ to play more heroes than SF (which he is clearly capable of) mid.

Afraid to ask but... what happened in the C9 games? I had them coming in third place and while I didn't think that would happen after seeing them in the group stage, this result is a bit depressing

g1 very well constructed early/mid game plan by c9 to aggressively play and take over the map, while still farming and growing their cores, bone7 makes a mistake and lets egg get stolen (I think he didn't know rubick had aghs or something i dunno), fy turns a losing fight into a game winning fight with egg into sleep into lift, and then c9 just tilts from that point and shits a brick in their pants. g2 was just an autoloss on the draft screen, really made no sense.

g1 c9 should have won, and I know alot of people say that, but c9 not only had a commanding lead, they also had everything going for them (Hao way behind, EE fucking had everything you could ask for, and nearly everyone was super rich on C9 except notail). Just that one big play from FY made them shit a brick for some reason (it was a big play don't get me wrong), and caused them to way tilt and play passive. Vici from there kept playing to win, c9 kept playing to not lose the game.

Game 1 - C9 was leading but they were too afraid after securing the first set of rax top. After that, FY ascended into mount Olympus stealing spells everywhere like a god. Starting with pheonix ult. Fy carried the team in his shoulders and became a god and secure the win in the end.

Game 2- Vici won with hoho haha.

Ugh, that sounds like the worst. Really wonder what's going to happen post TI with this team, this is not the result that where expecting I imagine.

I just can't help it but I'm just sad whenever a Chinese team beats a western team. I feel nothing for the Chinese, most likely because of the language barrier and different culture.

Seeing TI5 dominated by the Chinese again is kinda killing most of the hype for me.

I'm rooting for Chinese teams solely because of Azarkon.

^i never get that kind of mindset, is not like east and west have distinct play styles nowadays so if you just cover the faces up you won't be able to tell who's playing against who

Somehow I get the 'sad' part though is like some people hating on Chinese 'ricing' games back then (when c9 riced more iirc) they will use whatever reason to hate on the teams -speaking this as an Asian looking dude surviving in the western world, everything still comes down to some natural human reaction. Funny thing is Chinese viewers will have no problem to keep watching if all of their teams dropped out (while they are being sad) and root for whatever team they like next.

Bare in mind I bet CDEC barely have any fans from Chinese viewers too lol
