You realize that an older incarnation of Na'vi (DTS) ran the same cheesy bullshit push strat a whole tournament in China years ago and that's pretty much the only reason why they made it that far?
It's ok when Western teams do it, but if a Chinese team does it it's considered boring. That's the most hilarious part about it. VG played two strats centered around Sylar, one on NP, one on Morphling. Both got countered, after that ROTK really doesn't have too much up his sleeve because seriously, the heroes that they can play are pretty limited. Super is the only one with a wide range of heroes he can play, most of the ones Sylar can really play aren't good in the current meta (way too greedy).

Does anyone think oversaturation is becoming a problem in the Dota 2 scene? Since I think it was a case with SC2, and looking at the history, it feels like we've been seeing more tournaments this year than in the previous ones. Oversaturation was never a problem in SC2 and it's never going to be a problem in Dota 2. It's a term people use to misplace blame for scene stagnation or decline. Although I do not believe it's ever the cause. I think it's a thing, and it was definitely the case with SC2. You simply can't get hyped if there's a tournament every weekend with the same players, same strats all the time since you've seen like 2000 games... No new tournament can hype you at that point. If ESL One had all the teams TI4 had, wouldn't it be almost the same hype anyway? I hope you know what I mean. Especially before, I feel like the scenes were more disconnected, so TI brought everything together and there was hype because of that. I'm not sure what you're saying since TI4 has pretty much every hero picked and there was a new meta.

Im not being racist, i'm saying they ran the same strat with slight deviations for 10 times at least, and it's a start which involves early win/huge lead or loss. And i dislike that play. In any sport or e-sport

western teams should reshuffle, it's in their best interest. especially for teams like na'vi/fnatic/[a] who seem stagnant, devoid of energy and lacking desire to win

It was even Navi's patented style. Pick chen/ench and just push everything hoping to win in 20 minutes. That's where the whole "we don't like going to lategame since 1 mistake GG" thing comes from.

Sorry, no can do. Because then Alliance rat Dota would instantly return again and people would be weeping tears left and right at bulldog taking another lane of raxs while you try to push that tower.. :D
We are going to have to live with deathballs from now on. My next prediction will be that teams will draft for lvl 1 Roshan fights. Just draft the best lvl 1 fight team and go for Roshan.. force the enemy team to fight you to stop Roshan loose the fight, deadball from there to stomp win or loose lvl 1 Roshan, deadball from there and stomp win..
I was right after ESL one about the prediction that if anyone could do the Mouz early game and follow that up with a better transition they'd do great at TI4 (didn't expect great enough that both teams doing it would be in the finals but hey) so I feel confident about this prediction too.

I don't know it doesn't feel TI runner up caliber. Was the same case with NaVi. didn't it. Not really. If any team always picked the same stuff last TI it was Alliance. Alchemist, Wisp, Puck, Naix, Chen every fucking game against ~14 different heroes for s4 and Loda.
Yeah, I don't buy it.

If last year's TI finals were considered "rat dota" then I'm all for it. Those were awesome games last year. This year... not so much. I stopped watching during game 3.

Your wrong, it has nothing to do with western vs Chinese. No other team gets more hate than Alliance for their split push strats(rat). People just like to complain when their favorite team isn't winning.

LOL.
The only 'awesome' game was because of monumental mistakes on Na'vi's part in the final game. Every other game was a complete one sided stomp.

After groups there were still 10 unpicked heroes. And the Navi picked an unpicked hero, and someone else did as well. So 8 or less for sure.
edit: God dammit. sorry, I keep quoting and not editing since opposite side compared to tl D:
