Whatever his skill level, it is clear they wouldn't have won Dreamhack or gotten to TI2 without him. Nor would they have a fraction of the fans mTw have today.
Anyway, some of these rumours sound like they could be grossly exaggerated to me and I actually regret bringing them onto TL; let's wait for an official statement from mTw soon.
They won because of him, but they also lost because of him. Don't give him praise for something and ignore things when things go bad because he is not a good mid player especially at this level. He should not be playing that role.
I think that I could agree if he had some notoriously amazing mid player but honestly in comparison to the rest of his team Synderen isn't even a bad mid in my opinion. At least on Invoker he's been rather competitive from what I've seen

Anyone that is shitting on Synderen pretty much has never watched him play mid. Yes he does not outright win mid alot, but he doesn't outright lose mid alot either. He maintains the lane and ensures that he is at least ready for midgame, and doesn't let the other guy get out of control very often either (there's only a very few instances).
His team is just mad for apparently no reason because they don't see what he does behind the scenes.

Slesh was probably only there on the understanding that as soon as syndereN was out of the tournament he would be casting with Tobi. And it will be a big improvement, the Tobi/syndereN synergy is far far better. My favourite casting combo by a long shot and I hope they'll be casting the finals.

by that logic, none of the mtw players should be playing at any lane.
If it's true that there's no advantage for upper bracket vs lower bracket it pretty much is ridiculous and destroys the whole purpose >_<
Also, amazing.
i think they're just trying to ensure the finals isn't like, two quick stomps and over with. series where you end up with a team starting with a lead are anti-hype. look at every mlg until they changed to a dual bracket format
