Russian situation is really different. I don't think it's that different. Russian qualifiers were mid-October. You could even make the case that Ukrainians are even less likely to go since they don't have much time to get Chinese visas. It is 'that' different. m5 qualified for Russia, then they disbanded. So Garaj was a replacement, and some Garaj members didn't even want to go at that point.

I guess I can sort of understand that.

Winning and going is very different than coming second and waiting several weeks to find out that you can now go, especially for a mix who isn't playing together consistently.

It seems Korea's Dota 2 representative will be dcdota who defeated Korea's WCG Asia 2012 representative VeiL with a score of 2-0. Their WC3 Dota representative will be BBJ (Heen's old team) who represented Korea before at WCG Asia 2011. I don't know any Korean, so feel free to correct me.
In other news, it seems LGD.ddc mostly likely will not be able to attend WCG World, because tournament officials take issue with his Macau nationality. I don't know how this works, because I thought Macau was part of China.

Apollo was told by Odee (dignitas boss) that [SelecT] was going to play on the korean team that qualified for WCG. At least for now anyway Source: http://www.reddit.com/r/DotA2/comments/127dv3/select_is_currently_streaming_dota2/c6ss3ak

according to lgd it seems like korean representatives objected to ddc's role on the team. idk what the deal is here but it doesn't seem like an official decision.
anyway i'd like to see CH get another shot on LGD. if not that, somewhere at least.

garaj decided not to go
in other news, LGD.ddc will be replaced by KingJ for WCG due to regional drama (Macao is a "special administrative zone" of China and certain drama-inducing koreans complained.)
