Kaipi/Nth vs Na'Vi VP vs Fnatic Not a bad line-up. Still hoping that this isn't all the production we're getting, but It wouldn't surprise me. Will be interesting to see if CS:GO is equally bad, considering they have Redeye and Joe Miller don't they? So they have to be in the studios surely.

http://www.twitch.tv/esltv_sc2/b/364306811 I highly doubt they will put ReDeYe and Miller casting it from their home.

Why can't we have all matches from quarters (the ones with pro teams) broadcast on stream? They're bo1's, yet we need to have 4 separate streams to cover them. And then they don't even get admins to go into the matches so some of these games weren't on dotaTV, not just without commentary, but they aren't even available as a replay. You have a fucking 'official broadcasting partner' who's streaming games from their other league at the same time. Are we not supposed to be watching these cups? Are we only supposed to be watching the final? Because except for round 1 there are a lot of interesting matches here, but it doesn't seem like anyone wants us to watch them. And most of the matches were covered by Epi, who I don't even think has a fully partnered account on Twitch, so there weren't even stream quality options. And seriously, get your ESL graphics guys to send some assets over to jD because god knows they won't sort the look of their stream out. It's a big and somewhat confusing format, this needs to be conveyed on the stream. The brackets need to be shown. A line of scrolling text is just not good enough. You know what happened when Na'Vi picked Axe in the EMS? Someone posted on reddit that Na'Vi just picked Axe in the Defense. Shit, get it together please. And I'd like an official word if this is what the whole EMS is like or if we'll ever get some actual ESL coverage except for the LAN events. ~ Sorry for the rant but I can't have been the only one who was expecting some well produced regular dota content in the west for the first time and this was a terrible first impression.

Don't worry they have the second biggest dota prize money behind TI!!! It's fine, we through a bunch of money at dota and the people come watching. And some of the teams might actually get some of that money... a couple of years from now... may be... 2013 ESL still full of shit.

We actually do have a very pretty graphics package and if you accidentally happened to tune into one of the foreign-language streams, you might have already seen it. I'll reach out to joinDOTA in order to work something out regarding graphics, but their crew naturally also has a say in this.

But anyway I'll take that as confirmation that this is what we can expect in the future for the most part and guess that means ESL really still doesn't care about Dota. They were told to run a tournament and they just gave it over to jD, is essentially what it looks like to me. Unless I'm wrong and the CS:GO will be the same, but I have a feeling CS:GO won't be like this. You can't assure something if you're willing to let partners do whatever. I mean just the point that the MAIN stream that you have linked from your site for English coverage doesn't even have quality options. Come on.

Please keep in mind that we hired our own full-time caster, Kawa, so we're cooperating with joinDOTA, not "outsourcing" our broadcasting to them. Anyway, Jarrett and me will talk things through with joinDOTA tomorrow and there will be several improvements. joinDOTA is also working hard and I don't doubt that our production value is going to become significantly better - if it doesn't, please don't stop complaining until it's finally good.

I wouldn't draw that same conclusion. Empire did not play particularly well that game which is why they lost. Navi didn't win because they countered naix with an axe pick. Their draft was pretty poor with zero disables.

![]() I tuned in for a moment and was suprised that I found just two streams: One from TobiWan and one from Epi. Asked myself what about Kawa and an ESL stream? Maybe I was just too blind to find it, what could be possible as well. I really hope that the quality improves for the next cups. Money alone does not guarantee a good tournament. Keep in mind that it was the first cup for the EMS One in Dota 2 and they are gathering feedback now (even though the ESL should actually know how to run a good tournament/cup by now).

ESL has their own studios so why not put Kawa broadcasting it like a regular Go4SC2 and having Epi and Tobi joining him for the cast? We don't know how good the production for CS will be but then again, I highly doubt they will put ReDeYe and Miller casting it from their own home with poor quality stream. Also a lot of people is complaining about not having all the matches available in DotATV. Let's see how the next cups will be..

Chill out guys, there's a few mistakes (I really wanted to see my favorite team, nth, play!), but overall be stoked that there's another tournament! Anyhow, will there be VODs availalbe for the matches somewhere? I really, really, really would love to see the nth vs. Navi game but work is going to prevent me from being able to tune in.

Yes. Tobi and Kawa will cast today's matches. I think they are bo3. Both Na'Vi vs Nth and VP vs Fnatic.
