I get the idea, but I'm still not surprised by the GG. I've seen the exact scenario before where Empire gets a carry lesh, it doesn't go great, they GG without the opponent touching their t3's.
But it's made to seem much worse when they waffle around for 15 minutes on the cast making it feel like the game never actually ended.

I think Empire just got pissed off at the coinflip and in general just tired of playing in US servers and rage? quitted cause of that..

I havent seen a carry lesh work out in quite a while

honestly useast is a good compromise. most eu players get like 150ms. uswest players would get 200+ on eu servers.

I don't like how Draskyll characterizes brew as peaking at 16 because he makes it seem like brew is not much of a threat after that.
Brew still has the crit steroid and the evasion passive. With heart and AC he becomes a moderate DPS threat in the late game while being impossible to kill. He can blink on backlline supports and completely take them out before he even has to split.

one of the commentators was delusional. he thought the longer the game goes on the weaker dignitas lineup would be, when the truth is the opposite. the only way empire was coming back from that game is if dignitas throws fights repeatedly.

Don't really want to start a dabate on this, but russians aren't anywhere close to 150 ping on US.

I wonder how it would have turned out with two bkbs instead of bloodstone dagger.

Well Brew does peak at 16, though I agree that Draskyll was laying it on a bit thick. Same for when he was saying Dignitas had no lategame, when he said that, Luna was catching up on farm and would only snowball from there. I don't know if he was having cast(He was casting quite a bit I think so he might have just be tired), or just trying to hype the game more by making it seem like Empire had more of a chance than they did,

This interview is cracking me up.

GD Studio best studio.

EU dota is hopeless beyond any measure. If a team constantly getting away with the draft like: Brew, DS, Clock, Luna and Furion, i really see no place for any Euro team in top8 TI3.

You're on such a crusade renfree Every recent post of yours seems to be about this :D
You do have a point though. It should be possible to exploit such greedy lineups. Empire lacked a way to quickly and reliably take out a single target though - that and they simply didn't play very well.

No, i just don't see such lineups possible against best Asian teams, you would get destroyed in first 10 mins. And if several Euro teams failed to do it (if anything, Dignitas's draft is very predictable, so you should know what to do against it), thats a wake up call for an entire western scene.

well based on the last TI and all recent games, what would make you think anyone but Na'Vi (and LGD.INT if you count them as EU) would do anything vs the chinese? when you watch g-league or g1 and then you watch d2l/the defense etc., it's like watching the NFL vs high school football. It's not much different than KR in SC2. We like to cheer for the western teams because we can relate and like the underdogs but if you watch the level of play objectively, the west by and large is still very far behind. Some games are cringe-worthy from a professional gaming point of view.

My last time i bet anything on empire

i think a lot of it comes down to preparation for certain matches. if you play 40 official "maps" a month (thats what fnatic played in february i think) you cant expect them to be as well prepared and focussed as the chinese who play maybe 10 "maps". yeah IG is unbeatable and lgd.cn is probably better than anything in the west but with the right strategy and a bit of luck, the top 4 of the west (atm i'd say nth, fnatic, vp and liquid on a good day) could beat xiao8 and co. DK isnt so far ahead anyway and the sea teams are not very consistent in their performance. (these ice3 plays...)

There are actually two ways to beat what Dignitas is doing. Kill them early for their greed. Most western teams seem to be unable to do it reliably as it requires quite good execution. Or do what Liquid did in last game of D2L, just be more greedy. Frankly the draft out of Liquid in that game was in my opinion the most beautiful draft I have seen in DoTa2 ( I am new so probably there were better drafts ). And I do not mean the actual heroes, I mean the strategy behind that draft. It was such a nicely built trap/mindgame and Dignitas actually killed themselves by their greed and transparent tendencies already in a drafting phase. There are so many beautiful things about how Liquid went about that draft, TC should get a medal If he was drafting.

I agree, the last game draft was brilliant, but the other games even in gfinals were kinda shaky.
