Curious how much interest there is from the Chinese viewership in like mid-tier western matches. It seems even with major SEA teams playing each-other in last season a lot of it drops off even compared to lesser Chinese teams.

But anyway, should be interesting as even though they aren't exactly the most exciting of match-ups. AL and Kaipi have proven themselves capable of upsets (and EG and Empire both on shaky ground). And if you lose 1 bo3 in this phase you're already out, and apart from TI this is the most important qualifier in Dota. Even if you don't end up winning a bunch of money, you still don't have to spend a bunch of money to get to the LAN. And I'd imagine just being at the LAN Final in China will give you a lot of Icefrog points for TI3. As far as we know teams really only have DHS, another season of StarLadder, and like maximum 2 EMS LAN's to prove themselves, that's not a whole lot to get 6-8 western teams.

Well supposedly EG have changed up their roles and I haven't watched any of their games since then. But aL has really not been performing at all, and it's not like they were ever a team that passed that threshold to 'relevant', which I guess EG at least used to be.

But as said in the last post, this is such an important match it's dangerous to assume that teams will play as you expect them to.

EG just lost to Rox.KIS 0-2 in Bigpoint, so idk how they gonna perform today. Don't get me wrong, Rox is a nice team, but not quite there yet.

Rox is better than aL though, I mean they recently beat VP and Empire as well and outside of that they've been putting up imrpessive wins. I agree not quite there yet, but no shame in losing to Rox.

aL looked really good at EMS, tho. They beat both Liquid and Na'Vi there in important matches. Sure, it was just bo1s, but still it's nothing to disregard, I think.

I agree, I said in the first post "AL and Kaipi have proven themselves capable of upsets". But I don't think the Rox match is much of an upset given Rox's recent matches. While I do still think AL beating EG is an upset.

If you want to support G-1 directly by watching on their website, they now have widescreen viewing! wow, just checked and you weren't kidding lol.

interested to see how the EG role shuffle works out, only saw them play one game with it vs a very low tier team so it was kinda impossible to read anything nito it.

problem with g1.2p.com? Every time I try to watch there, the stream title stays on top of the actual stream and just doesn't go away, even if I go fullscreen. =/ On any other website (TL, jD, gg) embedded twitch streams are just fine for me, it happens just there...

have you spammed pause/unpause a few times? I've had that happen on tl and basically anywhere that embeds twitch streams, and pause/unpause fixes basically any problem eventually, I've found.
