Maybe it's time to discuss. Valve is really good with a lot of things but knowing their structure ( they have no marketing department, staff can join and exit project as they wish), this is not ideal. What happens if there is a more exciting new project in Valve ( HL3??) and then only 10 people or so are left for Dota 2. What happens if they go holiday like at the present moment. If they don't want to do this kind of thing, they probably should outsource an E-sports department and server maintenance or something. or just release LAN and get everything over with. Let third party organizations take care of everything ( while possible taking a hit on cosmetics). | ||

G1 is being too kind on this shit. meant that normally the players and hosts/admins are on a skype server or just have the production to change the screen (dhinv) and can sort things out that way, whereas the lobby seems the only way for the teams and admins to communicate, and ayesee/ld/every other caster is separate from the hosts so the audience is seeing it. hell of a series - maelk actually mad, story time with ayesee, ld losing his shit... lmao | ||
