Has Navi ever ran the Naga that well? They were great at countering it at TI2 when it was still in favor but I don't really recall any time period where NaVi were consistently running Naga for themselves.

they ran naga+dk in ti2 final i think, and lost?

they won with it against lgd i believe. but that was back when ds could vacuum during naga song

They won with it against iG in the finals - the one game they took. I remember because it was one of those games that made the storyline of TI 2 so delicious - the sheer mindfuck of Na'Vi winning with Siren vs. Chinese teams after showing how to counter it.

One win and two losses with Siren to be exact.

I am saying this here now, pick invi hero and you have won the game 20% before the game started rofl.

he just hasn't been dying, they have sents/smokes/obs

but keep on flamin' dood, don't let reality get in the way

Er, kuroky spent 0 support items <20mins in, the map was black. He bought 1 smoke+2 wards at 24mins after the team lost the map control. The fact that (as in, reality), kuroky is putting his items before the team support item first, is the biggest flaw in Navi team right now. Whenever puppey is not on a supportive hero then Navi just crumble.

Their games always are incredibly hard when they were dealing with weaver/oppo supports who actually are good (eg [A]) or against team who actually didn't derp in mid game.

Kuroky played some extremely cheesey (and selfish) of all the supports that i have ever seen.

why's puppey chen been winning so much lately then?

he was the same net worth as puppey with 3 less deaths and higher gpm when you posted - that gold didn't just disappear. Until you actually go over the replay and actually watch his spending I'ma go ahead and say you're a hater who needs to focus less on the mistakes of one player and more on those of the team.

One player in a non-shotcalling position is basically never the 'biggest flaw' in a team, no matter how much random forum people like to claim it.

You dont see me, ever, flaming other support like that on forum. I never hate on any player, I only speak out on bad plays/players, the only exception is that I flamed Twista hardcore because I have some personal business with him and he is truly BAD. Otherwise, even for kuroky, you won't find a single word from me on forum saying that he is bad or something along the line. He played some high risk support playstyle that makes me shrug.

If you didnt see that how kuroky's playstyle can impact the team hugely then i don't know what to say, they could have been owning more games and rolled more teams easily.

heck, i was quite a kuroky fan when he is not playing support (so many of my old posts said that).

Not saying their team fighting is awful, it feels like when they completely depend on it, it's really hit or miss for them.

The thing is that makes your team very inversatile, always relying on Snowball tactics is a very dangerous.

That being said I would like to point out that it felt like Tongfu outdrafted Na`vi twice, first with the Weaver Ban(which they really wanted it seemed) and second with the Anti-Mage ban.

Ya I do have to agree. NaVi got outdrafted. I knew what Puppey wanted to accomplish with Treant. They had done it before with Gyro super diving past towers with Tree Armor to get a kill. That didn't happen because TongFu didn't allow it to happen.

2nd game... Doom effectively destroyed what Na'Vi wanted to do. That 1 hero shut off Dendi mid, as well to a lesser point Havost's Naga. NaVi had NO damage after TongFu got BKBs.

That's exactly my point. You aren't even paying attention to everyone else's mistakes - you just got this thing for kuro's support play at some point, and you never let it go. It's fucking ridiculous and unnecessary, and most of the time completely irrelevant

Think, when you see Kuro's impact in a game, it's almost always in a team fight. You don't see casters saying, "Oh wow look at that Ward placement!" In Na'Vi's games. With Kuro and Puppey, it's almost as if they don't give a rats ass with wards. Something Smile had always done for them before.

TF knew how to deal with Treant pretty well. I have a feeling that this hero has been seen in practice by them plenty of times. The second game's counter to Storm and Siren, though, I didn't know they had that in them, but it was an amazing pick.

Its not irrelevant actually because in general it is something that goes unnoticed for a lot, people see the game but dont see very often(nor do casters point it out) that teams miss vision or more importantly sentry vision. Such a thing can actually be quite relevant esp if the enemy has multiple heroes with invisibility.

That game was not Kuroky's fault, but it is something that can be one of Na`vi's roadblocks.

To end the conversation before iG vs Orange.

I feel like giving NaVi a bit more time to adjust to the Chinese scene would take a bit of time. It is the reason why they are there. You really cannot expect them to suddenly come and destroy them when they had literally 0 time to practice. This tournament, IS their practice.

Soo... lets go iG! Don't get 2-0ed and I'll be happy.

I love how most teams are first banning OD and WR against Orange nowadays, it's like a badge of honor.
