That tier 1 fight utterly messed them up. I don't like it when Puppey choose line-ups that telegraph what they do. 1 Doom pick-up, hard countered 2 of their heros straight off. My fanboy wishes Na'Vi is still adjusting, but I know for certain that was just a line-up problem. 1 core vs a 4 core lol. Ouch.

I don't remember them doing it a lot and I think it is the go to strategy for this version vs. line ups ie Tongfu's, which are built for 5 man. I also feel that was Alliance's one trump card over all other teams in G-1 - knowing when / how to split push. Naga was not meant for splitpushing this game How are you going to do that when you know Doom and DK both have lothars, carry a gem? Naga was meant for teamfights to set up Vacuum Wall Ice Path Macropyre but then XBOCT went full XBOCT.

Shocking that they pick the combo and perform it so badly. I think that was a misjudgement actually. Funn1k might have panicked when he got Shadow Posioned so he threw all of his combos with Kuro when Havost was still in the river. Funn1k and Kuro did it good but Havost messed it up by singing during it, pretty much killing half of the combo dmg right away. That was the closest they had to win a team fight when they were very clearly down on farm already. Teams who now choose Naga, almost always has another hard carry, Gyro especially. NaVi were completely dependent on Naga, when Dendi cannot really do much because he'll get Doomed. And with Dendi unable to do anything at all, Naga cannot kill DK, Gyro, Doom herself after Kuro and Funn1k blows there cooldowns. They had to straight up kill them in a team fight, or they will get chased down and get killed. That's what happened over and over.

Not just that but they warded like 3 of chen's camps and they only dewarded 1. Could say it was unfortunate he got a satyr, but again, he only had 1 big camp to work with. Na`vi didn't really make a move on them till doom hit level 6. i was laughing at the ridiculous jungle luck that happened that game, especially for doom. ridiculous.

They were great at countering it at TI2 when it was still in favor but I don't really recall any time period where NaVi were consistently running Naga for themselves. Sort of, but it's the way they run it that's the problem. They usually don't run it the way other teams do. They do this wombo combo style that's TI2 and it's... pretty much hit or miss now a days because teams know how to deal with it.
