DotA 2 noob here: what advantage there is for being on the bottom left side? the top right (Dire?) has that big creep in the river so is there something to even that out?

But in DotA 1 Satyrs don't randomly kill you with Shockwaves, so it is pretty even.

That is not related to the sleep issue, that is the same bug, where a dark seer/pudge could use smoke and kill the camp without any issues

There are no rules about pausing except don't abuse it, as far as I know. The other team can pause too and sometimes they need to.

I think the jungle layout is supposed to be a little more favourable for farming.
