Fountain hooks make the pudge miss out on valuable gold and exp (buying a TP everytime it fails, which is more often than not). Tongfu just got overconfident and didn't punish Navi enough. It's abusable only in exactly the situation that Na'Vi was in.
They weren't going to 5v5 even with a good hook initiation.
They were putting all farm onto a single hero.
They couldn't control the map.
Which basically meant Dendi would not lose anything from constantly trying fountain-hooks.

It's not hard for the best players in the world since they do this every day all the time. Go and try to play Pudge mid competetive. And you will instantly learn why nobody does that.

Why is this topic still going on?
because hundreds of people who have never played a dota game in their life continue to comment on the balance of a game that they have no clue about

I'd actually imagine them to play better drunk.

What a fucking game. Imagine they start doing it every game.
Thing is... they won't. It won't work every game, plus it was really TF's fault giving this game away. All that time that Pudge spent walking back from base after missed hooks, and they didn't use it to full effect. They were quite a bit ahead as well at that point.

You're all about gimicky bs, "OPA DENDI OPA XD!!" like this hook or freaking Ursa and meepo ugh. What a ton of crap, that was a disgusting game and Na'Vi should be ashamed. But nope, everyone stood and screamed and clapped at such a shameful display, there was no skill, no team play just fucking luck. I hope Alliance destroys these people tomorrow, I look forward to it. OH NO PEOPLE ARE PLAYING TO WIN IN A 1.4 MILLION DOLLAR FIRST PRIZE TOURNAMENT A BLOO BLOO BLOO :| It's not even about Na'Vi doing anything they can to win even if its completely retarded and turned me off from supporting them, it's the fact that people are celebrating this kind of BS. That "victory" was 100% luck, Na'Vi displayed NO skill in that match.
You think Navi cares that you don't support them anymore when they can win 1.4 million?

wtf is that stat.

Here you TP back to your base, either misses out on a teamfight or your camping spot(if you were just trying to get a hook off). (your team could also wait to see if you hook actually hit and back off. don't worry about it, people here are so dumb they think failed fountain hook is a big risk

I remember when I watched my first DotA game ever.
The difference was, I didn't try to talk shit about the professionals because i knew I knew absolutely nothing about the game.
I suggest you follow suit.

I think this stuff is pre-recorded too, these pre-game interviews.
I saw Era for like 1/2 second for Mushi's interview came up. Or am I hallucinating?

If you walk forward to catch out the rest of his team, then he hooks you and thats instantly 1 hero down. If he hooks the carry then its GG. If you walk away to avoid the hook then you can't go back to catch out the rest of his team afterwards. There is literally 0 risk and massive reward. It does take skill to land the hook but even if he misses, he just comes back 20 seconds later and tries again. The strategy is just cheesy as shit. Maelk understood that, but it seems the casuals in this thread just like watching fountain hooks because it's "entertaining".
TF had plenty of time to buff the mobility and chasing potential of their team. they didn't do it.
