he falls off and orange had a shitton of lockdown for him. if orange gets that aegis, navi sits behind their towers, that bad fight in dire woods doesnt happen, those fail bb's never happen, puck never gets his hex, enigma doesnt get his blink. this game would be totally different. and orange has run mushi od as their 1 before and has proven that it does dmg late

Once it wears off, if Mushi just manmodes and attacks him he will die. But he couldnt because he had no aegis so he ends up running away doing NOTHING

I've seen some sick FGC matches that wouldn't be possible without winner's advantage. Plus it's called double-elimination for a reason, so that everyone can lose once and still stay in the tournament

As for if the Aegis deny making a huge difference. There isn't really a way of knowing. They could have got the tower and denied a bunch of gold/xp for a while, but Na'Vi always had the chance of getting a lucky teamfight. of course it was a huge difference, because the aegis deny made it a guaranteed loss for orange

If you want some kind of 'best team' metric that's more reliable, you need to run a multiple-round Swiss tournament instead of double elimination. It's just that noone (apart from the MtG community) cares about Swiss tournaments because it takes away all the tension, suspense and drama of traditional finals, with people actually dropping out. Anyways, I feel like [A], Na'Vi and Orange would all have been worthy winners of this, so I'm happy already.

Nobody is saying that if Aegis was on Orange it was like instant win, but the game wouldn't have ended so abruptly. Anyone who denies that is a blind NaVi fanboy. Within the past few pages someone literally just said if Orange had aegis Na'Vi would have lost.
