Btw: MLG vids where? Found in OP Nowhere yet but on Vilat or other twitch channels, but in the client you can watch them. Just watched the final, EE is pretty disappointing with clinkz, running around like a headless chicken during teamfights while he's not even a target and he could just right click people. (like the teamfight at the 50th minute mark in game 3) I like him but he was in constant panic mode this game during fights =D
What are you on about EE was MVP of the final game
Clean up squad coming in from the back in like 3 team wipes my god EE really stepped it up for LAN

I won't pretend to be any sort of Dota expert, but I really don't understand DK's drafts in this finals. Why a solo Alch top in game 2, why Mushi on a hero that doesn't seem like it suits his playstyle game 3. Yeah. Mid veno, roaming wisp, solo alch vs a clinkz/visage. QQ yeah if you've been playing non stop 6 games of 60+ min, dat happens. You really think 2 60 games from the Navi series affects a team that practices 10 hours day? Can we please stop making excuses for a very good team that simply got beat by a better team?
Playing at home together vs playing on LAN at a tournament are two totally different environments. This coming from someone who has actually played plenty of high level FPS lans. Fatigue was definitely a factor, however DK just played like dumpsters more than anything. Speed played better this tournament, but I wouldn't necessarily call them a better team.

I think the way DK played in the finals was a lot worse than in the groupstages, except for Lanm who played like he absorbed the combined skill of Mushi, Burning and iceiceice.

I mean, he somehow made support Alchemist work which has like a 5% win percentage in competitive play.

In the fight after the 50th minute mark you mentioned as an example, I believe he had his bkb on cooldown, visage activated his ghost scepter, and they were fighting uphill the base stairs and chasing would have meant stepping into 3 heroes. I don't really recall any fights where he was running around in panic. It's more likely that his "running around" was just him looking for a perfect position to get to right click in peace or thinking about whether to engage at all. He can't really just stand in front of DK especially when his bkb is down.

I noticed he does that a lot in teamfights. In some of the weaver games he spent so much time running around doing nothing while teammates were focused and he could have been getting so many attacks in. He played well on Clinkz but I don't think teamfights are EE's strength at all
|
That may be true, I haven't really followed his individual play in fights enough to comment either way. But talking about the final game on clinkz, in my eyes there wasn't all that much unnecessary running around in that specific game.

He's probably the best manager in dota 2 in the world though. he's shown he knows what makes a team succeed and is 2 for 2 with championship level teams he creates. though its only after he stops playing for the team they get true success.

^ TLDR : Dota genius, but his ego gets in the way more often than not.

also ur all bad at dota so i dont see how you can talk about ee's "unneccessary" running around in games and discuss whether something is wrong or right when such a thing is very complex not like "LOL HE DIDN USE BKB"

For speed you can't pick a MVP of the tournament
Every game they played after day 1 when it was needed someone rose to the occasion and played out of their mind, and really what more can you ask for from your teammates?

picking a "mvp" is more like saying xy played exceptionally well rather than saying oh yeah this guy totally carried us

What the hell at the first finals game, what, what was that? My god. What a goddamn game.

its nice to see a fresh team winning this and to make it even interisting beating Dota kings haha so many cries from obvious fan boys. Its getting boring with all the if no A then Navi.
DK seemed to be expected after A fell but then cinderella happened. I really liked how it went, speed came out really convincing, I guess jelling stage is over, they can be big. I hope they can keep it up. I like to bet to other teams other than A and NaVI. I like it when the underdog wins, more rares for me.
I hope in ti4 people would look at 4 teams to be possible champions not just 2.

After watching EE and Aui_2k on Live on Three, it's really clear that MLG knocked it out of the park with this dota tournament. The players, the fans... everybody's very happy with how it turned out.
Impressive to run a big Dota 2 tourney for the first time, and be runner-up to the International in terms of quality etc.
