The funny thing is that it somehow seems to work, when I bought it on cm i got bkb agha and did so much damage. I think one reason might be because of the new patch and that almost every game goes late so having the extra lvls as well as gold makes it worth buying it.
Worth noting is that theres a huge difference how midas is punished depending on MMR. In a 5.5k match people generally know when they're ahead and push their advantage to the point where comeback-midases very rarely works out. And being-ahead-midases are kinda "ye sure it helped, but you could probably have skipped it and done just as good anyway". Comparing that to 3k mmr or whatever where people generally will be much worse at punishing midases, you can get away with it much more often.

Is this supposed to be acceptable? I just got placed in low priority for 16 matches because I fed 4 kills before 3 minutes, then I proceeded to lose the game with 18 kills and 7 deaths. Last abandon was more than 15 matches ago. Didn't flame, didn't intentional feed.

Hard to say. You make it sound like they reported you, because they think you played badly. I generelly don't think that's a valid reason to ban someone. However, if you were arrogant/glip about it or gave the impression you were purposely feeding, I can see why you may have deserved a ban.
If I understand the ban correctly, you weren't necessarily punished for this offense alone, but rather for getting too many reports in too short a time span. If that is indeed the case, you may have to change something in your approach.

you can't get low priority for playing poorly. and it's well known that you have to get reported over the course of many games in a row to get put in lpq (i.e. # of reports in a game doesn't matter, consistently being reported once across many games does).

There's no outside intervention, the system bans people who get reported consistently.
So the feeding game was the straw that broke the camel's back, if you will. Whatever else was on that camel's back, we will never know. Judging by the length of the LPQ stint though, that camel's back has been broken more than once before.

what i meant to say is you cant get lpq by playing poorly in one specific game (as the guy seems to think). but yeah i agree with you.

Isn't that supposed to trigger mutes and not 634890 games of low prio though?
2 out of my last 5 games were really shitty. Shitton of deaths, followed by a comeback. I get reported every match because of the server I play in.
Am I supposed to play though 16 matches of low priority? Why can't I get someone to watch 2 minutes of my last 5 matches and realize that I didn't intentional feed?

If they feel like ur playing like shit they report u for intentional feed most likely.
I've never been a fan of the system myself but I do find it hard to believe that there are NO legitimate complaints against you yet you have 16 games of low prio stacked up.

I dunno, I have had LOTS of bad feed games and have never got low priority or muted. I also have a 100% (I dont report many but 6/6 or something) sucess rate with my reports being acted on in the last few weeks. No idea why this is haha, but I think the report system as a whole is pretty stupid.
I only report people for VERY bad flaming, or I always report idiots who give up spam chat with those sort of messages, then sell items/feed couriers etc.

That doesnt really matter. I have been a retard ingame many times, be it vocal, typing, i swear in a creative way sometimes, or feed when someone dishes my items from coerier. I have been reported so many times on my main account but i never ever got 16 matches in one go as punishment.
I think its a bug which he should report at devforums or he got double reported in lp or something (6-2+6+6=16). Back in the day when punishment was dished out in hours low priority, you could stack punishment almost a year round (ive seen 200+ days low priority). Once you got in low prio, you cant go back, it felt like the event horizon from a black hole, your to far in. Delete the game or make new account
