I don't think it's that far separated from q/e invoker in lane now that cold snap got nerfed so hard u prolly just have to go bottle with w/e.

I mean alacrity is 45 mana for 20 dmg/ias 9 out of every 15 seconds which seems pretty good in lane.

Ideal scenario is still just safelaning as WE because you'd rather just freefarm a MoM or Midas rather than get shit like bottle.

Might have been asked before, but I was really wondering, why you dont see solo SS being played.
Or is it just me not noticing it?

It was quite a strong hero for solo mid in HoN back in the days, but here I haven't seen him beeing played like that at all.
Does it just not work or is he just unfortunate that no pro teams picked him up for that role recently?

I was like: "But Shadow Fiend is 95% mid".

Rhasta is very easy to gank in middle, it's pretty big gamble, especially in pubs, when supports don't have clue how to protect their mid with vision. + He has Lina-level animation, so every so-called mid-hero will destroy him most likely, until he bottlecrows and starts to spam ether shock.
+ He's slow as fuck.

On the other side of the coin, ofc, fast levels, fast wards and free towers possibility look good.
If you can escape laning with fast blink, it's basically free win but it rarely happens.

Damn, i miss Pollywog Priest.

Rhasta's animation is not Lina-level. 0.3 is one of the best attack points in the game.

285 ms and 500 range are issues though, and both of these got buffed in HoN.

Mostly not meta friendly. Its legit, but with the recent heavy emphasis on 5man pushing and strong teamfight contribution, there really isnt much difference between a lvl 6-7 support SS or a 9-10 mid SS. The extra levels of hex wont make much of a difference, its just the wards you're after. And you're fine getting them on a support some minutes later than you would on a mid.

Also the meta shifted to farm heavy mids. SS mid can be a great playmaker/ganker on top of his pushing power, but if the game drags on for a bit he inevitably wont be able to contribute as much as a right clicking mid.

They both take 1x Finger of Death damage.

If u wanna know who dies first if it would kill both, then I'm not sure.

Now, if nyx with carapace dagon'd a blademailed enemy, then funny things start happening but I'm pretty sure he'd shoot the enemy, who'd take and reflect the damage both, then nyx carapace would reflect, then blademail would reflect so nyx would take 1x dmg and opponent would take 2x dmg.

4142 actually has similar solo kill potential to 1442. you do around 1k damage with max mana regardless of build, the pull just gives your team a chance to catch up and keeps people from casting spells

I THINK nyx would die first in the first scenario, because blademail applies its damage return before it applies the damage it's returning from (See - Bloodcyka blademail heals otherwise fatal instances of damage if blademail's return kills opponent)

Turns out this is relatively simple to test. Just tried it:

Blademailed lion casts finger of death on nyx assassin with carapace on:
Lion dies, nyx assassin lives without taking any damage.

Just goes to show you, you never know with dota =p

Also tested the dagon blademail carapace interaction:

Nyx with dagon and carapace active dagons blademailed enemy:
Both take 1x dagon damage, carapace does not stun enemy.

In otherwords, it doesn't appear that carapace considers blademail an instance of damage.

is blink dagger naix legit or is it awful? I randomed him in a game and due to shitty picks from my team i was forced to jungle, i farmed myself a dagger and went ganking with brown boots and dagger. We won the game because our offlane invoker carried hard but i was doing alright for myself because the game was rather easy iam not sure if this is a legit way to play naix.

Blink is a very reasonable situational item choice for Naix.

There are some situations where its pretty good.

http://www.dotabuff.com/matches/834020527

For example, in this game naix picked up a blink after he got abyssal, broke my linkens and abyssalled me and tried to kill me before i could get away (it worked a few times). Its good if you have no way to get into fights via teammates (why WK didn't get a blink, I have no idea).
