for the second one you can use 's' or just right click the creep halfway through your animation. if youre not too late your hero will restart his swing

Why is chen considered the best early/mid support for early game power? Isn't enchantress better at ganking? Is it something to do with actually "support power" instead of actual damage(chen has more support skills and helps create space for carries to farm)?

Chen has a nuke, creeps last longer so doesn't always have to go back into jungle to get more (unless they are killed), also has the ability to send people home, as well as a global burst heal.

Chen is regarded as the more stable pick, if his early game fails he can still be a great team healer and mid game pusher. Whereas enchantress is the most powerful early game hero, all or nothing. Shes either single handedly killed 3 towers before 12 minutes or shes feeding like a noob.

I've thought about this question, and the two main reasons are enchantress is too easy to burst down, and you can tp heroes (especially casters) back to base for full hp/mana.
It's too easy for enchantress to feed since around when ck was introduced, I believe. When it was nightstalker mid and lots of venomancers and chen, it wasn't such a big deal. But now leshrac, ck, clinks, bounty, ta, old lycan, naga, morphling, qop, tinker introduced/getting through unbanned, they can all kill her faster than she can heal. She has horrible strength gain, and it's too hard to end the game early these days. So being able to heal anyone on the map instantly and save heroes is more helpful than a heal over time.
Also, she was a semi-antimage counter with impetus and fast pushing ability, and antimage lost some poularity.

Who is the best for suicide lane out of Mirana, Windrunner, and Broodmother?
|
Versus anti-push --> Windrunner Versus standard --> Brood

On October 29 2012 11:18 Slardar wrote: Versus anti-push --> Windrunner Versus standard --> Brood Yep, against heroes that don't have spammable AOE spells or innate true sight (Slar/BH), Brood is probably the #1 solo offlaner. WR doesn't really have any counters, but can't really dominate a solo 1v2 lane.

brood is the best out of those three but out of everyone? Not so sure dark seer would be my guess for best offlaner in the game

can you dodge alchemist stun with alchemists ultimate?

Edit: Nvm, the skill says it's dodging stuns and not projectiles, so i don't know, you'd have to test.

You are not in the game (100% invulnerable) during transformations and the moment you split with manta etc and a few other spells.

I think in theory it is possible but I dont think it is ever practical.

Why are certain items in the game just flat not used?
I got to thinking about this last night playing Spirit Breaker (who I rarely play), and just sort of theorcrafting in my head. He's a hero that loves move speed and attack speed, as he has a mini bash and gains damage just from moving faster. So I got to poking around, and other than Yasha, there isn't much in the str/move/ias arena, so I started looking at some other items and stumbled on to Mjollnir and Maelstrom, which seem like they'd be very good on str based IAS heroes...yet I never see anyone make them, basically, ever. In fact, I hear Mjollnir joked about as a troll item.
Why is this? Is it the passive/actives of the items that people don't like? Is it the stats not being high enough? The cost? The build path?

It's not a troll item at all. It's a common choice on Dragon Knight, Lifestealer, and Alchemist, and can be situationally good on Skeleton King, Syllabear, Faceless Void, just to name a few.
The only item I can really say I never built on anyone in DotA 2 was pre-buff Rod of Atos. Pretty much everything else is actually fairly powerful in the right circumstances. Most impressions of those items being bad is borne out of people buying them in the wrong circumstances (e.g. Shadow Blade or Midas).

So I see that people have been talking about which heroes make for good suicide laners. What is it in general that makes a hero good for suicide lane? Conversely what makes heroes especially bad in that lane?
|
The single most important thing for a suicide laner is an escape mechanism. For Mirana, it is leap. For Broodmother/Bounty Hunter it is their invis spells. For QoP it is blink. For Dark Seer, it is surge (gives him haste). Etc. Etc. However, both broodmother and Dark Seer have additional skills that they can use to end up dominating a lane, even 1v2/3. This is what makes those two the most powerful ones. Broodmother has fallen wayyyyy out of favour though, so you don't see her much.
Oh yeah, the other option is that heroes with summons (Lone Druid and Natures prophet are the prime candidates here) can use those summons to safely pull the opposing creeps to the suicider's own tower, making it safe to farm or at least get XP.

If you understand how to play Broodmother, you will absolutely dominate the suicide lane in lower tier games. Utterly dominate it. Even more so than Darkseer, who is much more "obvious" how to counter for a newer/lower skilled player. At the higher skill levels, she's fallen out of favor, but at lower skill levels? I make people hate the suicide lane when I Broodmother it up.

I know people hate how LoL players compare LoL to Dota 2, and I'm not going to do that, but I want to try to get differences and the feeling for learning things in Dota 2 instead of LoL. No idea if this is considered simple answers and questions, maybe it is, but it might be a lot. 1. So a basic team for LoL would be an AP carry, AD carry, jungler, support, and tank. The support and tank are going to be the same, but will there be more than 1 carry? If so, would they all be agility? What roles need to be in 1 team? 2. When I'm starting out, should I go off the recommended section, or should I look up builds on the internet and copy them from there? What sites are good to start out with? 3. What are easy heroes to play? I think that's all for now that can come off the top of my mind, if there's more I'll be sure to ask.
