New PL generates illusions so quickly if he's on a target that illusion clear affects him far less than people think.
Yes, it stops you getting that unstoppable ball going at the start of every fight, but if you can get on someone and hit them for a bit they will be buried in illusions soon enough, gyro or no gyro. He only has one round of flak while you have an endless supply of spear-wielding cat-people.
DS and shaker (and BF Ember) are more problematic because they turn your illusions into an active liability, rather than just clearing them. But every hero has its counters and you just have to play around that. BKB is very underrated.
illusion clear in the form of aoe is still useful as it hurts the main pl too, often the case is that you can't find the real pl and slowly get destroyed by the illusions, rather than the illusions just being too strong
Went Tranquils, Urn, Force Staff, then Glimmer cape in a game yesterday and it worked out pretty well. You can go invis and then swap out a teammate (so you don't immediately die after swap) OR you can use it offsenively to initiate. Also you can Swap a teammate out and Glimmer another to save both (but usually at your own expense).
I keep seeing supports need to cast and cancel spells constantly on initiators so the spell instantly casts when the opponent is in range. Can anyone explain what this means and how to do it properly?
I think what they do is cast on target who is out of range, which means if that target blinks in, they already have their (preferably 0 cast point) disable queued up, so as soon as they blink in they're immediately hexed. So, unless the target has a BKB, there will be no RP, no blackhole, no ravage, etc.
If you don't want to walk through the enemy team by accident, you want to cancel it, which is why people do that.
The idea is that you buffer the spell before they get in range, you remove your reaction time from the equation, because your hero will just perform the buffered action as soon as they get in range.
An example is Rubick or Lion vs. Magnus. If you cast a lift/hex on him your hero will turn to face him and walk toward him. If he Blinks into your face at that point, your hero will just cast their spell and he won't get to RP because your spell is instant.
Ah ok... i thought it was something super fancy like targeting their portrait in the top bar and that it would instantly cast if you shift-queued it multiple times.
So am I understanding properly when I say it's casting at an initiator away from me who i know will jump in with blink soon. But I cancel with s so that I don't run towards him. Rather I keep doing this until he blinks at which point I've already queued the spell and it casts?
if you have vision to precast it you can usually tell when they are going in
you can also spam the button on the location you think they will appear if you don't have vision or are having a hard time pre-casting without running ur hero into their whole team.
If I unpack the Inscribed Black Nihility immortal bundle will I be able to later trade individual items from it or will it become untradeable after unpacking?
2 heros are still missing : Gambler & Pit Lord. Did we have any tips or rumors talking about a new hero created by Valve ? I mean a hero not present in doto1
