Against instant/no-projectile spells, you have to skirt the line between casting it too early and having them just use their spells on someone else or not having the time to react to Blink+instant cast spell. Also, even if the active is great, the buildup is still shit. | ||

I'll be able to buy it but immediately it unbuys it and says I don't have enough gold, although I definitely have enough. After a few attempts it sometimes buys it, sometimes it simply refuses. Good to know it's not only me, I'll make a bug report on dev.dota2. | ||

But I really don't know when or if I should skip Vlads. if your team needs more space, get vlads for faster pushing. bonus points if you have more melee damage dealers in your team too. if you need to fight asap, go straight for manta note that if you need to push faster but they have orchid/silence users or instagib heroes, you still need to go manta first unless you got your items so quick that they dont have their core items yet. so in conclusion manta is gotten first in most games because usually you are required to fight earlier or survive split pushing attempts more. in the rare cases where you dont need either and you need pushing speed only, just go vlads. vlads isnt good to carry in a full slotted am anymore though, so you have to make a decision on whether you really need an item right now to make a difference in your pushes. if your next item isnt so urgent, just go manta->heart/bfly/abyss/bkb | ||
