This behavior works normally in DotA 2 in most cases, it's just that slows can do weird things to a melee unit's range buffer for some reason, which causes the crazy autoattack range bug you're referring to. It's not War3 parity.

probably a bug where the game thinks your frontswing is fast enough to hit them despite the slow. remember the big attack speed bug that was fixed a few patches ago that made phoenix so powerful

Well no, the strange thing is that the bug applies to movement speed slows, not attack speed slows. If the unit has an attack slow but no movement slow like Untouchable, the range buffer functions normally, but you can get fucked up situations with movement slowing skills even if the skill doesn't also slow attack speed.

It's even weirder because sometimes the bug pops up when the target is slowed, not the attacker.

Is there any way to stop the screen from going back to the fountain when you respawn? Like if I'm watching a fight close to a tower, I don't want the screen to move away I want it to stay there when I respawn.

I play invoker and around 5k mmr, and am facing Sniper mid.

How do I win? I am being zoned out by his shrapnel and his attack animation is better.

I run QE mostly, if you suggest QW instead then how would you compete with his lasthits?

u dont
ur best bet is to beg for ganks before he can get a few levels. Also Q/W invoker definitely *can* contest lasthits since it's not like sniper's damage is any better than urs. It's just the animation that causes problems.

Prioritizing Q will yield enough sustain to survive the shrapnel spam. Beg for ganks before he gets boots. After he has boots, diving the tower becomes dangerous even with flame spirits, so perhaps try and catch up by using the spirits to stack the jungle/ancients, while getting last hits when able. Note that if sniper is maxing shrapnel, your flame spirits will be able to outrange him in order to harass effectively.

If you want to try the QW method, then keep in mind that phase boots+mom sniper will run faster than you, even ghost walked. The trick here is to bait the sniper mask of madness (and hopefully phase too), then turn on him and tornado. This will purge the mask and cause sniper to be snow enough to actually get some hits off with cold snap. Start with blades of attack, then a second blade of attack, then bottle+boots. The quas is enough regen to survive sniper's harassment, and wex can substitute for boots early in races to the rune. Don't skip bottle because no exort means you have less max int to work with.

if a player gives a non-sharable item to one of their allies, can people on the enemy team see that the item is muted? Does the item say anything different when alt-clicked?

Why don't we see more of ET atm? Most carries go pure stats items atm and early BKB is not that great, plus he's really good at turtling with endless spirit spam.

ET isn't actually a good hero, he's just buffed to ridiculous levels

intrinsically, the hero itself doesn't offer a lot:

not a core (carry/semi-carry), no real disables, no gank

spirit spam isn't really "aoe"

etc
everything that rises must converge

I don't really get how Spirit + Stomp isn't AOE. I guess it's not the greatest damage but it does send their creep wave to sleep for 5 seconds.

While his disables are unreliable by themselves Euls is a super obvious choice and it's stupidly popular at the moment.

But what nojok was getting at is that he offers something no other hero does: removing 100% of the armour from all the agility that Trolls and Snipers are getting from their Skadis and SnYs.

We see pos 4/5 zeus those days, sure they're cool to dewards and the ulti for scouting but so is spirit and I think the aura damage boost is on par with static field.

Natural Order's usefulness depends on how mobile and accessible the enemy carries are. You can theorize about how good -100% base armor is but the radius is tiny, and the Spirit takes time to reach its target.

It's strong against carries like DK and Luna that have low engagement range and limited movement options and get forced to fight under it, but against carries with more mobility than that it's usefulness is a lot more variable. Like AM is a carry that depends heavily on Stats for armor, but he's so mobile that ET doesn't wreck him because he has the means to be selective about whether he fights in the aura.

Troll and Sniper obviously aren't as mobile as AM but with Blink/522 MS they still don't get straightforwardly crushed by Natural Order.
