If you want to discuss it, which is absolutely fine, find a thread where it belongs or make one. Preferably include clips of it happening etc. Please don't bring it up in this thread again though. It doesn't belong here at all.

I don't think PW set up a proper LAN (which is ungodly expensive for dota because you have to duplicate essentially the entire dota2 network), that literally only occurs at the Internationals. The problem isn't that LAN is expensive to set up, it's that any LAN other than Valve's TI setup doesn't support DotATV. Actually hosting a LAN game isn't that absurd, it's basically just hosting a local lobby, which you can already do.

I get that you can do local lobbies and simple LAN already no problem.

There's surely a reason for which you can't host your own proxy and make it connect to the Game Coordinator or whatever master server is there, but I don't see it yet.

I mean this is probably something only valve can set up, and probably what they do for the International only

got a similar response for "making dotatv not suck ass from china" There's like some possibility that with the Source 2 engine overhaul things happen? If nothing else u can be sure that they won't actually do anything till they are done Source 2 porting I think.

unless you know you are going to offensively swap, you need to make sure you get your swap off to break chain stun combos, then you can risk dying by getting close to carry. and the offensive vs defensive is totally situational, usually you need level 3 swap for offensive to be really effective, also need them to have no big counter-initiators. for example if they have a tidehunter and you swap someone, tide will just immediately blink ravage your team saving them.

Omniknight is okay as well but GA has a very long cooldown. Puck isn't really a "counter" but she can at least phase/orb to safety (Storm would be in the same class, good call there). And then there's Axe who has a high chance of surviving and can Call through spin.

I believe that the majority of pros use QWER instead of legacy at this point but I don't have data to back that up. Some pros use a custom setup; I know for example that H4nn1 uses ASDF instead.
