Well these tournament games are what they need to try and get there faster if they can. The good thing after Bulba joined has been that they've been able to win games despite not playing perfect. With the Universe lineup it felt like their ability to win even games mid to lategame was pretty bad (and not only against top opposition), but now they can screw up and still keep their composure and take the win. Of course they need to show improvement to be a serious contender against the very best teams but there are some positive signs.
Interesting to see how they'll deal with NaVis style.

EE and RTZ still occasionally feed unnecessary kills, but all in all the team looks pretty solid. Bulba's a much better fit that Universe, though his hero pool is not that big tbh (unless they are not showing new options because of #savingstrats).

We haven't seen the old insane synergy they showed during that game against empire during TI6 EU quals where they went full force-staff, bait and disengage like gods.
They play like a team now but still abit sloppy, i wonder if they could win against navi (prolly unlikely lol past 6 months if i said this it would be sarcastic )

Navi is the current gatekeeper for Elite teams , they beat everyone not name OG/Liquid , it will be a good benchmark for Secert progress

Arteezy playing out of his mind this tournament

edit: nvmnd saw the games he was just ok

Glad to see them win against NaVi, so good ^^

Nice to see some mild success from Secret. Maybe it will bode well going into TI6.

Beating navi is definitly a good sign. They were the best of the rest. I don't think they are at Liquid, OG level yet, but if they keep improving at this rate a Top 4 finish at TI is possible.
|
They seem to be more and more in sync with each game they play, and their drafting is much better now than before. I think we can be catiously optimistic about their Ti6 performance. And this time they don't have the burden of being the absolute favorite like last year. I hope they have a good showing in Seattle. Ond, of course, I hope they win Starladder today

Yeah they wouldn't be expected to win TI6, that expectation is given to Newbee, Wings, OG and maybe Liquid but hopefully they at least win this tournament.
|
Wings can demolish or tank against literally anyone at TI so a Top3 finish Is certainly far from sci-fi if they get lucky brackets
|
but wings is so unstable. they win a tournament, and a few weeks later they crash out last place. we will see what they bring to the table this time, but i dont count them as favorites. that still goes to og, liquid and newbee.

I don't think I'd count Secret as favorites just because they've not played a ton the past few months unlike Liquid/OG/Newbee/Wings, but the way this tournament is going I definitely think they have a good shot at the title

GG WP Secret. You have improved a lot. Best of luck at TI. Hope to see you in the finals vs Navi.

We lost but i think it was a good experience for them. Navi has been their more strongest enemy so far so i think they will get positive info in their bootcamp analyzing this tourney and series. Also they showed some good teamwork in some games.
The real test will be TI with their own meta.

I missed the series largely but from seeing the drafts and the highlights it seems that Secret was in a pretty good position in games 2 and 3 too but didn't really have a great way to safely break highground. In general it seems like they tried to pick quite early game oriented against NaVi. Not sure if I'm the biggest fan of their use of Mirana, although the Mirana herself sort of did well but it doesn't help if you don't have other heroes who can then win the game for you by breaking the base. Later on the magic damage becomes a bit underwhelming and Mirana can't really pick people off either unless you hit a magical arrow.
Game 4 was just impossible to do anything in draftwise considering they didn't manage to pressure the Huskar early on with their dual lane and their teamfight to contest the push was non existent.
