EPTWould be cool to have a Alliance v Navi game in the main event, how has it been since that ? TI3 i guess ? Since TI4 alliance didnt get out of groups and TI5 didnt qualify, and NaVi hasnt played any majors

Yep. Especially the "didnt really practise" part. Loda says he felt very moťivated to practise this week, but some of the other players' tweets (esp. Akke) have been more about "buhu we deserve an invite based on past merits" rather than "fuckit, lets practise and show who's boss". It's a quesion of attitude imo. The competition is stiff. Are they still hungry enough? But what the heck do I know... I guess we'll see. | ||

I hated the fact we went through 6.86 without playing Invoker & Earth spirit , both heroes were so good and we didnt run them ,I also hate the fact we never run Ember spirit , They are not flexiable at all in the drafting in the mid lane , everyone talking about AB hero pool , but we already know what S4 is going to play before the game starts , and Mid has way more impact on the game , thats just how it is. I wouldnt think they practiced any new heroes , because we didnt see them in the last Lan , where is was more of the same , lets hope for Manila they will show us new heroes , it cant be that hard to practice them..... | ||

I think it was more about a hard time for Volvo to pick last 2 in a convincing manner, so a good way, perhaps doubtful to some, was to invite all of those in the hard to judge zone. Yeah I agree. I'd rather have seen 4 invites and more qualifier slots. But I cant imagine Volvo didn't look at it that way as well, and decided it wasnt good enough. I cant say I feel volvo invites are random, I believe they are well thought through. Either way, in general it feels fair for all but the top teams, but they are invited as well. The importance for the invites is to get above the threshold, nothing else. Top teams are gonna end up with "lesser" teams wether they qualify or get invited. All in all it feels fair. | ||

So if they went to 8 invites they would have to give 3 qualifier slots to China an EU. That would probably go over even worse than their current decision. Or do something like a play in for the slots between the regions which takes time since it can't really be done well online. | ||

Just give invites to the 4-8 best teams. The Rest has to get a slot through qualifiers. Whoever gets through, has proven themselves to be worthy. The stronger regions get more qualifier slots. No, Col was the 9th invite so if you go down to 8 invites they would not have gotten one. If you go down even further like people have suggested they obviously wouldn't have gotten one either. The teams who would have been shafted would have been: col, [A], navi, LGD (starting with LGD) It would have been EG for the only NA invite and then 2 qualifiers for NA with good chances for col and DC but that sounds perfectly fine to me. Or 2 spots for NA as well as everyone else + 2 wildcard spots (battle royale between all the 3rd place finishers in the regional quals) if they go down to 6. | ||
