But i guess as Zai said in his interview, who would be a sub in dota?
There's some wackiness with the way the Lock system works, Zai would need to play with EG most of the time. Swindlezz has mentioned this, though I don't know if it only applies to the Major/TI or all tournaments.

Iirc zai finishes graduating first before playing again i think. I'm really curious if Suma1l+fear actually left or the rumors are wrong, can't wait to find out.

Zai said he would play in that interview, said he is ready but he is not missing his final exams which are smack in the middle of Manilla Major. So he said he doubts any team would want him if they can't go to a major with him. However this lock in period is the last one until after TI6. So there is a chance now to put Zai in as sub or even another player as sub and run with 6. If whoever they get in fails in the Manilla Major then they can just get Zai in for after Manilla and practice hardcore until August (2 months after Manilla) TI comes up.
Just a possible out strat is all. Oh well time will tell, kinda exciting times for all.

If you wanted EG to excel you don't include bulba lool
Yeah, comparing SC2 contracts vs Dota 2 ones seems... well stupid.
The whole mess seems to have come out of nowhere for an outsider like me. EG have been so consistent.

I'm more interested in knowing where will fear and sumail be. This will implicitly explain whether Secret snapped Uni and rtc from them or EG are actually "disbanding".
I surely hope it's not the latter.

I just left reddit and Liquid dota forums for a day and a half and now I'm reading this ? what in blazes happened!? This is all too sudden.

I can start cheering for EG again now that rtz is gone. Man I hate that guy, and I was beginning to have trouble because PPD was starting to grow on me with his slightly more likable persona + vlogs. Back to hating secret I guess

Seems like that will be relevant to this proceeding. If the Bulba + Resolution rumors that have popped up are accurate.

It can't be Resolution if it is im very sad. Fear carry, Suma1l mid bring in a 3 and 4.

both dc/EG should put 10 players in a room and play musical chairs until there's 5

That tweet was from yesterday evening, much could have happened since then. Especially with account of the SUNSfan tweet.

1437 has said bulba is going nowhere, so that's assuming he'll say DC, even though he'd love to be on EG i'm GUESSING.
highly doubt aui will want to move from DC on the basis of the gut feeling he likes to stick to it and he has a strong sense of loyalty with his squad.
ritsu is NOT a good choice, especially not for TI contention. and mason is a huge question mark. you're left with some euros, possibly yawar up in the air for some switcheroos. like for instance, (and this s stretching it) w33 and DC and the two brothers in yawar and sumail on EG. that would be an upgrade for both.
i highly doubt fear will move back to 1 or even 3 without an equally good 4 to fill in the position. we can easily see that supports are the really high impact heroes, especially in the early game with securing lanes (looking at mid especially with the whole protecting OD or Invoker meta).
w33 would not play anything but 2, or mid so we're left with a trade between teams, or someone else moving roles which i've already tried to establish is not too likely right now.
the other options involve european teams. there is a lot of talented blood there, but there's the whole dreamhack thing going on, and european teams are rather stable right now going into the manila major.
if the NA teams are left to fend for themselves, i'd think that zai might go back on his thoughts and try to join a team after the lock. solid offlaner however... a quite broken EG. there's that. rtisu ALREADY made a stack, so once again that's also kind of out of the question.
i think other teams are going to break up to make up another superteam in NA, resulting in DC and other premade stacks (which aren't getting anywhere atm) to bid for membership. this is seriously the crunch time now, which i tried to state earlier in this thread. there is just about 4 months to make something happen and it's really something you don't want ot miss out on, even if the manila is important as well. the bigger picture is the international and having a temporary squad to go through qualifiers with isn't going to cut it.
unlike the recent LGD changes (and other chinese teams) which are now proving to fail despite the starpower and experience, that is not out of the question for the NA squad(s) in question. which is another case and point for why members in DC are not likely to shuffle hard.. unless of course the team has troubles right this moment on a full roster.
