Don't lose heart, Aesopus. The strong and pure of heart, the anti-heathens, the saved, are here gathered together for fellowship in this holy thread.

Idk what "you people" means since you can't possibly be including me, but I think people hate C9 because envy is a very iconic character that represents alot of what the twitch chat community can't handle. The more insecure people are about their own social competency the more they will direct a bunch of hate towards people like envy. He unflinchingly professes his love of manga, anime, music, and games, refusing to be embarrassed about it or to be afraid of being called a "weeaboo". As a player he is a perfectionist to the very core of his being to such an extreme degree that he is constantly berating himself for every mistake he makes, no matter how minor or major. You can always see that he has much stronger emotional reactions after losing at LANs than probably any other player. He tries to consciously balance out his super perfectionist self-hatred by bluffing confidence in himself and saying "I'm so fucking good!" on stream when he succeeds, because otherwise the weight of his standards and expectations for himself would be too heavy a burden to carry. In a recent hotbid interview he casually admitted that winning a single TI wouldn't be enough for him- Envy is a player that in his original thread admitted his dream of becoming a professional dota player and "dropping out" of university, a dream that many TL users have but unlike envy wouldn't admit, wouldn't put everything on the line to pursue- he was a relative nobody proclaiming that he knew he could do it. Now he is a player that isn't afraid to admit that his goal is to become "the best player", to win multiple TI's, to put it simply, he believes in himself, and people cannot stand it. EE-kami, no mercy this weekend, Ok?
