Both are based on the same manga but first FMA anime was made before original manga finished its run, so it has different story in its later part. I would not say that FMA Brotherhood is better. Many people do like it more, but they are fairly different and first series is not bad by any means. If you are willing to watch both then I would suggest to start with the first series and then after some time also watch FMA Brotherhood. If not, then you may watch FMA Brotherhood, or even ignore both and just read manga. | ||
