I just think they should just stick to their standard drafts from the beginning and only use those "abnormal" pocket strats for when they actually need them. They blew their load too early in WPC. If they still in ESL ONE (forgot if they still in) hopefully they will have a stronger LAN presence that time around

Yeah, the only game they won on iG was when they got the Drow Visage, which is about the most C9 draft I can think of (besides like Luna Wisp Batrider/Nyx), then they lost the other two games trying to do weird shit and it's not working out for them at all. I like EE's drafting in WPC, and I hope he practices it more, and comes up with more strats that can actually work out for them, and be legitimately scary. I want C9 to be the team that wins everything so bad, but it really doens't seem like they're trying half the time.

It's hard to evaluate their drafts when as spectators we don't know what they have ran in practice and how they've done with it. Now everyone is saying "omg their drafts are so bad", but against Empire where they ran their PA in one game, farming Jakiro in another, people say "omg their drafts are so creative". Then in SL tiebreakers, it was "omg they draft Luna+Chen all the time and just lose". Even if they may not succeed all the time, they are not stupid. They draft stuff that they think will win them games. The opinions people have about a team and their drafting isn't often even based on actual arguments, but instead they just look at their results, pick whatever explanation that suits their view of the team, and blame it on that.

I personally don't think they lost because they were "trying to do weird shit". They just did individual mistakes when they really couldn't make them, and in both of the games today iG had a lineup that can push fast and punish c9 for giving them a free opportunity. Against a heavy push lineup the game is always very unforgiving because of how fast the game can snowball against you, and c9 just had too many misplays both yesterday and today.

so I join a game of doter and in the loading screen on the enemy team is some guy called まことさん (makoto), written in Hiragana and I obviously instantly think about School Days. Luckily someone didn't load. No way am I playing with a dick like that.
