heroes used pick up priority and illusion used slot priority for orb
so you will want to drop both, pick skadi and put it in slot2, pick diffusal and put it in slot 1
your hero will then have skadi orb and your illusion have diffusal orb

But most people don't actually understand that new PL had a very precise power spike and was actually terrible at lategame (and even worse post illu damage nerf!) because he couldn't keep illusion generation up New PL is far, far better lategame with proper itemization

but then again, so far this patch have been who have the most carries won for me, so even if you're dominating in mid-game, because the enemy have more carries then there not much you can do late game since you can no longer rat with this PL

Just feels like every game comes down to 1/2 hardcarries high ground turtling "coming back" from behind in 60 minute shitshow games.

I believe it is toned down to a reasonable point where you can still maintain "ahead" advantage and other team can still comeback if they play good. I believe the current problem is not the mechanic but the players. We need to learn how to play the game without bashing high ground rather patiently & methodically pile up the advantage by farm and break high ground with rosh+ significantly more items. I know hard carries shine in that setting and some heroes are better base defenders than the others. This should be toned down in 6.83 since in this patch nearly all late game carries receive buffs(spec, medu etc.. )

Medusa once she gets 5, is basically a lane bully, and you cant trade with her in most cases if she manages mana shield toggles and making sure you always hit snake on both ranged creep and hero. Her skill build is also adaptable due to the change to split shot, so if you are left alone enough you can just get 2 points in split shot early to jungle faster. Hero is in a really good place now with strong laning decent mid game and amazing late game.

I can read. You will note that I said I was on a team which allowed the pick timer to expire, yet i had full gold after picking. Therefore, my assumption is that there is something not explained in the patch notes. I know that you can read. The issue is reading comprehension. "If the timer expires, each player that hasn't selected a hero will lose 2 gold per second." You had full gold because you picked a hero. The only person/people who lose gold are the people who do not pick before the time expires. So not the entire team loses gold, just the players who do not pick in time. I picked a hero about 20 seconds into the expired timer. Since I was one of the players who "ha[d]n't selected a hero" at the time it expired, I expected to begin losing gold. I selected a hero some time afterwards. If doing so returned my money, that's useful information, but it's not in the notes. At this point it's easier to just test next time I'm home. Oh please tell us the results of the test. Hmmmmm, I wonder what it cold be, the patch notes are wrong or you're mistaken. Can't wait until that mystery is solved.

On that subject, a glitch I'd noticed in the previous version of all pick is that if you picked a hero that was already selected by an ally or the opposing team, it would freeze your gold decrease, and you'd start with normal gold, even if you picked some amount of seconds after the game actually started. So you'd have Shadow Fiend selected, and an enemy would pick shadow fiend. You could then hit the "select hero" button for shadow fiend, and the trigger for "Oh yeah he picked a hero, don't need to decrease his gold" would check, but since someone else had already picked SF, it wouldn't actually select your hero. You could then pick whatever available hero you wanted at any point, and not lose any more gold. It's been a while since I did that, though, so I dunno.

vs. Death Prophet/Tidehunter/Razor/Treant/Dazzle But, we held on, chose fights, coordinated and it wasn't actually that hard. We manmoded them from like 20 minutes and even won the teamfights. Pretty cool! They had one of our raxes down, so it's not like they didn't have a chance. Seems more even strategy-wise now, which is lovely. The downside for some people being longer games, but in my eyes it's perfect when the draft is not that important anymore.

Most annoying heroes are still as annoying as they were before. Very disappointed with this patch.

Void's merely solid now, tinker's literally unpickable in pro play and pretty questionable in pubs. DP definitely was stronger and got less nerfs than either of those 2 heroes.

I don't really like the patch but this is coming from someone who enjoyed 6.81 a lot. I know the games were probably boring as shit to watch but I personally had a lot of fun in pubs even with the hero trends. I don't know.
