He just feels so weak compared to other hard carries, purely because I don't think the escape mechanism is as good as others like AM or Weaver.

Also, I feel that Dignitas are in too many tourneys to prepare that well. I mean, they're in The Defense, Skynet and the Premier League at the same time? You can't have strats ready for your opponents in all the games

Orchid is there because you can appear behind a support, silence them, destroy them, and run away. Without orchid you appear behind a support, get disabled, then disappear into dust.
I personally like to go Aquila, treads, medallion, run around killing everything. 200 damage/ hit at silly speed + medallion = dead supports in 3/4 hits. You need an ally to disable them at the start, then when you have your orchid you can just kill people solo.
Orchid also gives moderate aspd and damage. Its all about stopping people turning you into a small pile of disappointment when you pop up next to them and try a gank. I treat him as more a gank carry, because his dps get very high, very fast, especially with his ulti being utterly broken good

Not to mention that Orchid also gives him mana regen for continuous skeleton walk and for his orb. Considering the change that it's even cheaper now to build (2 x staff, recipe), it's a dps item that's alot more affordable. The amplification of dmg once you use the active component helps tons with orb + strafe, and you don't really need more survivability first because of the max hp bonus of your ult and because of skeleton walk.

haha I love watching dendi's stream, it's non-stop comedy all game every game. Only caught the tail end of that particular one though, but the one after that... so much lulz

Hes a shitty carry. He is a hero to stomp some pubs. He will never see any competitive play. Every carry has high damage and he is just blown up more then any carry.

The Fact people are comparing these games right now is so ridiculously stupid. SK saying LoL is #1 Moba when Dota 2 is not even released is hilariously awful.
I am a Dota fan boy and I hate League of Legends. The games can co-exist considering they are completely different. I have tried playing LoL and watching competitive matches and it was HORRIBLE. It is just 90 minutes of farm. It is actually worse then the Chinese farm Dota that happened a couple patches ago.
This was just alil vent, due to the SK article and ESL announcement.

LoL isn't 90 minutes of farm fest anymore. It's much more aggressive now, altho it's wayyyyy too snowbally.
I don't really understand why people like to compare and rage over what games are better, be it SC:BW, SC2, LoL, or DotA. They're different games and there's no reason why they can't co-exist.

he is a very strong laner imo, his ult is like a super laning skill but thats all it is in teamfights unless he has a lot more farm than anyone on the map he is just focued down in a second, but he is a pubstomper for sure, you can backdoor ezpz lategame even better than furion

Having played quite a bit of Clinkz back in the day, the most important thing is to pick engagements well and always have windwalk avaible when fighting more than 1 man. Orchid is absolutely key, you should snipe disable heavy suppports with it before and in teamfights.
Also the most important thing is to never draw too much attention, Clinkz is good at sniping people from the back, not at engaging them directly.
His laning is incredible, he's nearly unkillable early game if played correctly but is even more glass cannon than sniper sometimes(especially when ult is inactive)

That USED to be true, before the ulti change. Far squishier melee heroes can and have been used competitively.
His ulti gives him, at level 1, if you're not a complete retard, 550 hp and 45 damage. On a ranged hero, with invisibility. Combine that with his base everything, let's assume he has fuck all because hes clearly an awful hero - level 7, str treads and an Aquila.
50 damage from searing, 45 from ulti, 40 base(avg), 21 from levels, 15 from Aquila.
160 damage near as makes no difference, at 200 ias, on an invis hero, with 1400 hp (do the maths, ring of Aquila, ulti on an ursa, str treads)
I'm not saying he's the go-to carry now, just that he gets an unreasonable amount of hate for no good reason - he's actually pretty good since the ulti remake.
I'd say that the only thing that stops him being used more is that his attack animation is a massive pile of balls. If he got a decent one so he didn't have to wind up his attack like a geriatric bowler he'd be used a lot.
