the flying unit doesn't really matter too much though, doesn't it? not like there's techies in dota 2 yet

did that increase the hook's aoe point or something? iirc the last time i played pudge in dota 2, the hook's point aoe wasn't so big o_O

I believe the hook in Dota 2 is larger then in Dota 1.

The hook is rather odd in dota2, in dota1 it didn't have that strange thing on the top  It feels strange to me most of the time, like the aoe doesn't really match the model.

Because there were like a million bugs with him that didn't get fixed until a couple of the recent patches. Check the patch notes for details.

It only matters in one case right now and that's CM's Frostbite. Since Frostbite is coded based on Entangling Roots, it can't target flying units in DotA 1.

so in dota 2 it doesn't matter at all whether it's flying or not yet? u think if techies gets introduced, land mines wont be triggered by flying heroes? :p

Mechanically they were not flying heroes (they couldn't move over terrain, didn't have flying vision, etc.). The only hero that's a flying hero in the game mechanics sense was Batrider during Firefly.
